I like that Navi x Boeing 747 too, posted about it back in January here. Limited to 747 pieces, it seems to have sold out long ago.

Ah. It’s funny, I don’t pay much attention to these Navitimer editions but was looking through the Breitling site yesterday and it caught my eye. Maybe I should keep a closer eye on them!

Straw Poll: would you pick the Black Bay Burgundy on Jubilee or the Pelagos Red Bill FXD 3 Hander or Chronograph?

Very different but both appeal.

The BBB on Jubilée will IMHO age much better. Still enjoying mine every time I strap it one - and it was my first “expensive” watch bought quite some time ago.

I’m waiting to see what happens when they make a standard FXD chrono at this point. I want an FXD but think I’ll wait and see

I really liked the original Marine Nationals version but prefer the colours used on the Red Bull. A titanium version using that colour scheme would be cool, but I am hankering after something carbon at some point and think this works great all round.

BBB just, both the RB FXDs are nice & also completely different to most of the competitors & your other watches.

But the BBB will probably suit more occasions

Black bay!!!! Remember, all the cool kids have a black bay 🙄 plus Black bay is the official forum watch here with your beloved THF friends...

I would never buy a composite plastic mixed with carbon case, supposedely super tough but I managed to break my indestructible Breitling in "Breitlight" which is their name for their carbon plastic composite.. I also heard from that Breitling employee who joins ABTW podcast sometimes (Sylvan something) he said that carbon is not suitable for watch cases as it slowly breaks down, he said he has seen carbon AP's that look like shit.

I have always liked the Breitling Endurance Pro. Gutted that you broke yours!

That Carbon feedback is interesting. I have 5 Carbon road bikes that have had quite some use and no sign of breaking down. They are in various types of paint or lacquer finish mind you, so perhaps that has a lot to do with it?

I kind of played it safe getting the Seamaster, so that is my usual go to watch for anything with reasonably decent attire.

Leaves me open for anything without needing versatility now. Like my Orange AR for instance.

Hence thinking about the FXD.

I think the issue is that these Swiss brands use different formulas of composite, we have no idea what plastics, carbon and material these cases are made of and how durable they are long term. And in this case we're talking about Tudor and to my knowledge they don't have a long history with experience of selling carbon composite watches.

I actually really like some of the current Certina pieces. They seem to be switched on to great designs through be fair.

Yeah I’m not gonna be going for one of the carbon ones, I just can’t imagine they’ll leave the FXD Chrono just for the Red Bull edition is all

Inspired by @Aquagraph and the TH wall clock, I noticed this in Goldsmith last week. Wish they were for sale and to the public.

Presume not auto & quartz but it did sweep.
