Rolex-Tudor dealer here always has the polis on duty outside when open, what would it be like if they had models inside actually available to buy?

I’m a big fan of the PD all black but I think it also stems from being a huge Top Gun fan.
I’ve so far had to make do with the Mark Henry version which is a nice watch but the PD is where it’s at for me

I sense availability improving somewhat in the UK, fuelled somewhat by the cost of living crisis I suspect. I managed to get one I'd been waiting a year or so for recently with no prior purchase history, and have heard of quite a few others "getting the call" now too.

I sense availability improving somewhat in the UK, fuelled somewhat by the cost of living crisis I suspect. I managed to get one I'd been waiting a year or so for recently with no prior purchase history, and have heard of quite a few others "getting the call" now too.

yeah good shout. Here’s hoping but I still need to go to Mason and Webb with my ID and address etc to stay on the list but just not had time yet

Subs are obviously the hardest to get, so a year is probably pretty good.

Do they ask for that now just to go on the list? I got mine from Mappin & Webb but they didn't ask for any ID. Just walked in one day, told them which model I wanted and a year and half later got a phone call to say it was in. I think I'd been in once during that time just to tell them I was still interested.

I did same as you and walked in and put my name on the list.
My mate had a call and now myself to see if I was still interested and if so they need to see ID in person to confirm being on the list

Porsche just unveiled the Mission X concept. Damn tasty. But look at that dash timer. Looks like a PD analog stopwatch in the style of the classic chronograph and coupled with a digital timer of some sort.

So so freakin sexy, analog with a digital readout. A most perfect marriage between heritage and tech. And no skeleton bits anywhere.
