I totally understand that, as can see the difference between my Aquaracer and my Seamaster. I really enjoy both, so it’s not an issue, but I have found myself looking to one up the Seamaster for any potential next purchase and there really is no need.

Even the Aquaracer has some clear design and craftsmanship advantages over the <$2k micros is what I mean. The Seamaster really punches up quite a lot with its ceramic dial though IMO for sure

I think those look great and were great with the previous 5k price point. In March Breitling decided to change the movement to the B01. With this change came a price increase of 60%. This is now a 5k watch priced over 8k. Sixty bloody percent, unbelievable.
Yes, the change to an in-house movement was a welcomed improvement, but the price hike was not. 👎
I feel these should be priced around $6500, similar to the new glassbox Carrera. OTOH, the C11 Monaco went from being a $5k watch to a near $8k watch with same ETA/Selitta movement, albeit the price increase came over a longer time period.

Nobody in the Connected community wishes to tell me if they are switching to proper watches.... so I assume not.

Maybe I should have offered a free dial download from Albert's collection for anyone who answered?

Rolex-Tudor dealer here always has the polis on duty outside when open, what would it be like if they had models inside actually available to buy?

First and foremost, I’m a TAG Heuer enthusiast and my focus tends to stay on brand.

However, I’ve leaned a lot more about other watch brands from this thread, and it’s always enjoyable reading about everyone’s experience with different brands.

This past week, I saw the blue Tudor Pelagos in matte blue at an AD, and I really liked it. Then, while a friend helped me move some furniture yesterday, I noticed he was wearing a Black Bay (blue bezel, black dial). It was also very nice.

I see more and more why so many of you really like Tudor timepieces.

Yema coming up with an (IMHO) very nice looking motorsport-themed chrono in 39mm (and less than 2k with a Valjoux inside):
