Wow. That's no homage, it's basically a fake that they had the backbone to put their own name on instead. Very interesting indeed

Even though I own a Monaco, I'm not too familiar with all the Monaco models. Is there a TAG Monaco that looks exactly like this one?

TH - 13th position.
TAG Heuer used to be a top 10 regular, let's hope they can rise back up again.

Yes, the negative Internet trolls definitely contribute to this decline. In most cases, it's complete mis-and-disinformation.

I read an Article in the Wall St Journal this morning outlining Fr茅d茅ric's hope of 1 Billion a year in turnover.

Breitling steadily climbing is very impressive.

Shows what having the right CEO can do, the rise coincides with Kern's arrival.

Indeed. I wonder where things will be a year from now. If there's growth in TH and market share is recovered, then the current team will be touted as saviors. But it there's decline, it will be interesting to see how that will change their strategy and who will assume responsibility.

Yes, and so is Richard Mille's. Hermes is one to watch. While Longines and Tisot are on a steady decline.

To be like Richard Mille, TAG needs to sell lots of those Plasma Diamond watches. 馃檮

I鈥檓 not particularly drawn to Breitling but their offering has dwarfed TAG Heuer these past few years. Not only that, their communication has been spot on, from socials to the in store experience.

Breitling vs TAG Heuer boutiques.
Full on motoring feel good vs sterile

For a watch noob with cash in his pocket it鈥檚 very hard to leave a Breitling store without a watch.

Yeah, it's obviously part of the strategy. Otherwise they wouldn't be creating those monstrosities. 馃う

Still think TAG Heuer is a strong name and gateway brand but also think loads of people buy used aka fake unknowingly. Reddit discussions are flooded with these.
I also believe TAG Heuer is getting more of a beating from Omega and Breitling than Tudor these days. Not many noobs buying Tudor I reckon. The made by Rolex sales pitch is building a mass brand no doubt. My TAG Heuer AD took on Tudor recently. We鈥檒l know when the Swiss numbers come out.
So apparently Breitling are killing it with their retro heritage inspired range. Meanwhile some here like to argue it鈥檚 only the watch collector minority who seek vintage inspired watches and the real market doesn鈥檛 care about those.

I really wonder how much of an impact all of those fakes have on the perception of TAG Heuer's build quality and finishing. I've not really tracked the other brand's fakes that closely, but I see fake TAGs posted everywhere by proud owners thinking they've got the real deal. I've tried politely informing some of them on a few occasions, but they just don't want to believe it.

If he can pull that off, TAG will definitely be back in the top 10. We'll see... 馃槜
