I like these 😬 😁
Like his other work too. Suggested him for a possible TAG Heuer collab in a thread a while back.
Haven’t bought any of his watches so it’s more of an appreciation than a real want.

Actually I could see how a Silberstein glassbox could totally work.... 🍿

Yes. So why is the fauxtina on the glassboxes PINK/ORANGE?

Different question. It does more or less match the shade I've seen on some vintage Carreras. But I agree it's a bit over the top and I would rather the new ones didn't have it.

There’s a massive AS long case clock (well - “skeletonized”, if you wish) in the MAD Gallery in Geneva (maybe in other MAD Galleries, too). Looks really cool and I wonder whether the AS style actually works better in 3D than 2D…

Yes, just announced and limited to 747 pieces. At $9400 USD (on strap), it's expensive for sure but not out of line with current Navitimer pricing.

It will be interesting to see how fast these sell out compared to the 60th Anniversary Carrera. Currently available on the Breitling US website.

Sold out on website is a fair like for like comparison, I agree with you.
It took well over a week, but the Navi x 747 now seems sold out on the US website. In comparison, the Carrera 60th was sold out in less than 24 hours. Not that surprising, given that the Navi has 147 more watches and is $2000 more expensive than the Carrera.

@Mspeedster @paysdoufs I strolled past my local AD on the weekend and had a quick look inside. They were ultra busy, so didn’t try anything on, but the 43 Navitimer looked visually huge next to the 41. It might feel different on wrist but, at face value, I think the 43 is a non starter. Speedmaster Racing looked superb as always though, albeit even further inflated after the latest hike.

Navitimers do tend to wear larger due to the dial style. The Boeing 747 appeals to my nostalgia and I like its panda style.

However, I'd prefer last year's 41mm Cosmonaute LE (only 362 pieces). It has the B02 manual wind movement, which provides a slimmer case thickness as well.

I remember looking at that when it was released. Amazing example, but outside my range at the time. Still looks epic.
