Did you see the recent About F'ing Time episode where they got lucky and managed to find one in London as part of their Top Gear style challenge?
Tried on the omega ultra deep today. Wore surprisingly well for something the thick end of 17/18mm thick. L2L is fairly good with the rubber. A bit less so on bracelet as for some reason they decided on male end links. even on rubber, pretty heavy. Certainly give your muscles a workout.
@bpsmith - If you’re on the fence about the NT’s size, then the A23322 might well be the way to go… Wears amazingly - and that blue dial is insane
This is shaping up to be a really nice release, especially with the newly introduced bracelet option: The two most interesting options (IMHO; because a little different): With the latest production adjustments operated by its owner Lionel, they should be amazing value for money - starting at around 2.5k EUR with current preorder (and EU taxes) for a Swiss Made 300m diver in 40mm with a Kenissi caliber (!) and on a bracelet with quick-adjust clasp. Even less for US customers.
I'm pretty sure either Roman Sharf or someone similar said something along the lines of 'everyone thinks they want a Daytona until they see one and realise how small they are'.. which if it actually measures 38mm makes a whole lot of sense
How come you have never bought one? You have owned so many watches and I can totally see you rocking a Daytona
Tried on a 2021 black dial and it’s a very handsome watch, if not a tad large for my taste. The diameter is one thing but the pushers and crown guard add visual weight. It’s a reasonably slim watch so sits very nicely on the wrist on that beautiful oyster bracelet. Compelling watches.
I've never seen one, looking at a photo of it I would guess it was 42mm. But then seeing it on her wrist in that video.. I can't get my head around it being smaller than the heritage Carrera.
I really don't get this Alan Silberstein thing. I remember having an old watch magazine with his watches in them and they weren't cheap. Just look like cheap toy watches to me.... but I'm sure Hodinkee will tell me I'm wrong.
