Found this very interesting new variation on the Zenith Shadow at their boutique on St Maarten

Also had the 3817 edition which I really really like.

I would have probably added the A3817 this year if I hadn't stumbled upon the A386 50th ann.

Your A386 is a beauty. The A3817 is still on my want list, someday perhaps...

I wish! I’ve also been planning on a 3817 but the Porsche repair set me back a bit. I’ll definitely be calling these guys whenever I can make a move though 😀

I’m very interested in checking out the new Lunar Pilot watch. The original was just a bit too big for me. I loved the look of it and the accuracy was amazing. +5 seconds over the year I had it

Considering that Bulova was a prototype not available to the public (and never eventually put into production) it's not quite the same. The new one shares nothing but the looks with the original one...
And it's definitely not qualified for EVA by NASA.

Talking of Rule 9, I tried a 43mm Navitimer in for the first time in the Breitling Boutique earlier. Fot and feel was superb. Turns out was looking at the 46mm and 43mm in the window of my AD previously, when I thought they were 43mm and 41mm respectively, hence why I thought they looked way too big.

Tried the light green on black, with black alligator. Also the silver on black, with bracelet. Both looked amazing, but the green was very special. Photo’s really don’t do that one justice.

Number 9 😲
I think we can all agree that the key factor for the Swiss to succeed long term is to do 100% re-editions and never come up with new designs. Clearly, this is what collectors want.

I tried this on about 4 years ago in Selfridges, could have bought for £8,000 or thereabouts.... beautiful watch, although I didn't like the bracelet because it tapered way too much.

Whether it’s quartz or not, knowing that ticking inside your fancy watch is a cheap mass produced calibre is a reall turnoff. I don’t care if it’s a TH or a Rolex.
If I want a cheap movement in a nice looking watch I’ll just buy a microbrand.
Main issue why I didn’t buy the 40mm AR. I hope the upcoming calibres will be an improvement.
The recent calibre 5 green Carrera LE is a real joke at 4k. Still you probably couldn’t get one if you wanted to…
