No, I bought it over the phone from info on the website, I did not physically go to the store, I live too fat away.

Oh, cool.... glad I could help you out then.

Wow, Santa must love you very much... I'm getting a pre-owned plastic F1!

Not jealous or anything.

At all.
Still a Tag, and one to add to the collection for you. I tend to only collect automatics apart from the obvious connected ofcourse. I wanted the Heuer 01 , it had a short life with that name even though it was highly based on the 1887.

True, I can't help thinking it might be one classic F1 too many, but let's not tell the wife that eh! ;)

For how long was the H01 in production exactly, anyone knows on the top of their minds?

Thanks!! Like the applied logo more than printed, had not seen that detail before

Good thing the date is at 3 on the non skeletonized version.

So there is my grail watch, the Heuer 01 Carrera prototype. I love the watch, but the things they changed... man, it was off the charts like that!

Also, did you notice the etched logo was the old classic logo, the applied logo is the new one.

I've had a draft blog post hanging around for ages about the differences between the prototype and the actual watch, maybe I should finish it.

Sounds like a good way to honor the ending of an incredible movement and watch

It just looks a really smart edgy movement, looks sporty for a sporty watch. I think I will be looking at the back a lot during the days I wear it lol

Can you also post photos of all H01's and an index for which strap and bracelet suits which model ;)

I thought you said you were skint?
Skint is a relative term, Sir ****** Green is skint, his empire is going down, while he slums it on his 100million yacht.

For an outlet it's really nice. The ones in the US are very humble by comparison.
We don't even have a dedicated boutique anywhere near where I live. Closest outlet is 2+ hours away, but it's pretty meager to be honest.

I wish it was only 2 hours from me, my nearest was Gretna many years back. Although it means there is no temptation for me.
