Yes, and as an Australian I make sure to gently raise that point over here whenever possible. #makingfriends

You better look out there DC, we can export you back at anytime you know 😀
I think you may be a little confused on your Geography.
You might find NZ to the left of our friends in Aussie.

As for Parking, only if you bring that beautiful BMW 635csi

Much like us English referring to Wales as just another county.

I enjoyed reading that review. Gives a little more insight into why the launch event was held at a museum rather than a motorsport venue. Also, a lot of commentary on the watch and its design.

Angus Davies' style of writing is a bit unique among watch blogs.

The "tuxedo" is the nickname that comes to my mind when I see this watch.

That reminds me of that crappy film that Jackie Chan made - such a come down from films like Police Story and Wheels on Meals.

I had totally forgotten that movie, the only thing I remember is Jennifer Love Hewitt was in it. The watch reminds me of a tuxedo, not the movie. LOL.

Ooooh, I was in the salad line at the Columbia Pictures cafe right next to Jennifer Love Hewitt around 1998. She was super nice.*

*weird thing to remember, but at age 22 it was a big deal.

Here's another interesting review:
https://www.ablogtowatch.com/tag-he...99-2009-watch-takes-us-back-to-the-naughties/

According to the article, there was a no holds barred launch event, hosted by TAG Heuer Heritage Director Catherine Eberlé-Devaux. But we've not really heard much about it, seems way more low key compared to other launches to me. Where was Dempsey, the super models and/or other celebs?

BTW, the author likes this one the best, his previous favorite being the 90's model.

Some more coverage: https://www.timeandwatches.com/2019/09/tag-heuer-monaco-calibre-11-50th.html.

Probably best for @Aquagraph's blood pressure if he doesn't read it due to the lack of opinion 😉.

At least it's more informative than that Revolution article, I mean it's revealed that the watch has 40 hours of power reserve AND superluminova.
😲

But otherwise it's more uberlite reporting. This manages the excellent art of 'suggesting' they like the watch by using words like 'distinctive' but then they go and drop the 'plausible deniability' ball by describing the red/orange lollipops as 'stylish'. Oh dear. Someone should have caught that!🤪

Much better, sounds like he actually cares about what he's writing about. And he avoided the cliche of talking about Steve McQueen. KUDOS Mr Davies.👍

Here's some instagram posts showing videos and pics of the launch event in Tokyo. Looks to have been nicely done, but also a fairly Japanese domestic affair.

Any of that finds its way to Ebay , it’s mine and I’ll post it in

Well that far more polite compared to how the Welsh refer to England.::stirthepot::

It looks like they used one of those Intel show drones to look like a flying saucer.

Pretty sure it's some kind of cake or desert, rather than sushi. If you find it on ebay, it's all yours!
The last pic in this IG post has a clearer pic: https://www.instagram.com/p/B21AD1PFYQi/
