Don't know. The article you posted by Revolution only mentioned it ends on Oct 1st, didn't mention a start date. However, one week seems pretty short for an exhibit, so there's a chance the display of rare iconic models (without the 00's model) was already there when I visited.
The ironic thing is, I usually go to the Omotesando Boutique if I have a chance when visiting Japan. But I hadn't gone to the one in Ginza in quite a few years, so thought I'd stop by. I found that the Ginza Boutique had moved to a new location, but the store was smaller than before and I found it disappointing.
Another interesting tidbit from the article says the watch was launched at the Gallery of Horyuji Treasures at the Tokyo National Museum. Seems like an odd event and seemingly without the fanfare, glitz and glamour of the previous 3 launches.
