The reference is to the "cotés de Genève".

Thanks! I've seen this one before. A white background would be ideal.

Here's another nice article on the watch:
    https://www.fratellowatches.com/hot-take-tag-heuer-monaco-1989-1999-limited-edition/

Their comment about how this '90s version takes the classic McQueen Monaco's color scheme and puts it in "reverse" was exactly what I thought when I first saw the watch!

I used the CAW211P, a watch I don't own, as my gold standard. If I were to buy a Monaco 50, I had to like its looks as much or more than the blue McQueen. For me, the '90s version was like the inverse of the blue McQueen and checked all my boxes.

I'm so excited & happy to have been lucky enough to have snagged one! I'm usually the guy who's late to the party and misses out on these very limited edition watches. I still can't believe I'm getting one, to where I'm super nervous I'll jinx myself by posting so much (knocks on wood.)

    Or silver!

This is the car that I thought of when seeing the '90's Monaco 50, albeit this Martini Porsche RSR is from the '70s. LOL

    Love it!
Now that’s passion on a stick right there!
Good luck and I’ve got my fingers crossed for you too.

I’m sure if the unmentionable did happen and you missed out, someone from the forum here would give you theirs.
    Yeah right!

I keep telling myself, enough of grey or white dial watches (for myself, of course)...but this Monaco is cool !

It grew on me..."luckly" i will never had the chance. So i am safe...

Cheers for Tag Heuer, which personally i think, managed these releases so far so good.

    Like 'em all so far.

    +1

I would imagine even more rave reviews (than already is, now) if it was round pushers (imo of course)

In truth the 80s is for my father and the 90s is mine... but they’re both mine until I give him the red one... or don’t.... I do love that red dial!!!!

Hmmm, well I won't tell your dad if you don't. LOL

I'll be interested to know your impressions once you have both in your hands. In this side by side pic, the red one looks lovely, but more like jewelry. Especially as worn by the former Miss Universe. The style of the '90s, as worn by Dempsey, fits my personal style more.
