Thank you guys. Yea not the original band for sure, but the piece has the obvious signs of wear that I would say lead back to the 60s.

Nothing suspicious as far as I can tell. Looks like a great survivor. Very sharp case, looks untouched. A little polywatch would do wonders to the plexi.

I’m still going to get it checked out and serviced at a rep when I can. There aren’t any near me at the moment so will be a few weeks time. Everything works, and it seems to keep time very well.

If service history unknown best have it checked out by a good watchmaker. Just find a reputable one as watches are only original once. Many good ones have been butchered in the wrong hands. Stress that you don’t want any polishing done. These cases are worth a lot more unpolished than polished.

Im going to try to take it to TAG itself. There is a certfied swiss watchmaker in my hometown I might take it to as well.

Update for you all, took it to the local Rolex AD since these had the same movements as the Paul Newman Daytona, and their watchmaker is a very trustworthy man who has been in the trade for a few decades. He opened it up for me and I was able to snap a photo, this watch is 100 percent authentic with no signs of any servicing other than the gasket being changed. All parts (other than the gasket) are original and the watch works and runs amazingly. Now just to decide if I want to sell or keep it. Fabricating machinery and welding equipment is expensive and that’s the trade I’m going to school for.
