I haven't even opened my copy and I'm already annoyed.
What I find most annoying is that many pages have a red background with silver text, which makes it hard to read.

Overall, I do think it's a great book and a must have for any collector. I really enjoy the Ultimate Record of References at the end, with all the pictures. I just wish it was more complete. The more I look through it, the more I realize that there are models missing.

A few examples:
- The vintage section includes specialty models like the Indy 500, Volvo and Mercury Cougar. But doesn't include others, like Shelby and MG.
- The 2022 Dubai LE is missing
- Just looking at DC's first post in the Limited Editions Thread and I see a model that I don't think is included.

I suspect if we spent time going through the LE thread we'd find several others missing. It's too bad that DC wasn't tapped as a contributor to help make the book more complete. Having said that, I'm pleased that they did capture so many of the obscure LEs.

But unfortunately, I'm also spotting a few errors with some of the specs. Like the Hodinkee Dato, Red heritage glassbox and '22 Plasma listed with the Heuer 01 as their movement.

Unlike Amazon to pack badly, usually a giant box with lots of packing around a small item!

Let us know if we can buy it, seems like a great collectible

I also noticed that the Chronosprint is illustrated with the black swirl stripe on the outer timing scale (as seen on the early draft), which was not used on the production models. Yet they have the production's TH Carrera font, rather than Porsche's script font (seen on the draft & protos).
I still think they should have kept this dial design.

If they wanted a list of modern Carreras they should have asked me.

Seems like a ripe opportunity for a TH Enthusiast's blog post. Would love to see your account, complete with pictures, of the missing Carreras.

One of my favorite Carreras is also missing. Although it's a 1 of 1 unique piece, it has a strong connection to both TAG Heuer & Porsche. It would've made my day if it had been included.

The History of the Carrera has been in the works for nearly two years. So far it is split into 7 posts, and the first 1 is nearly finished... there are a LOT of Carreras. I bet you'll still find one I've missed, haha... but the one above is in there.

I was really hoping to get it out this year, but I'm not sure it will be ready.

Mind you my 'History' starts in 1996. But about 90% of all Carreras came out in the last 15 years anyway...

I'm surprised you've found things missing in the classic section (which I wouldn't pretend to know about). I originally assumed the book would feature every historical Carrera and then a random sprinkling of new models in the last ten pages just to show that it's still going. Especially if Jeff Stein was involved.

Is this one included? I haven't opened my book yet..
Nope, but that was a very recent release. I also recall a gold 42mm green dial LE from earlier this year that's also missing. The 2 recent ladies diamonds aren't in it either.

I wonder if the Blue touch Carrera is in the book? I haven't got my copy either.

Given they started as an online book store, you'd have thought so - especially for heavy books like these.

Second one arrived in the same packaging as the first - just a single-wall cardboard sleeve/envelope. Also had similar, though lighter, damage to the first. Rather than keep trying to get a mint copy through Amazon, I'm going to check with my local boutique to see if they can get me a copy.

Was offered a 50% refund on the second copy, which I accepted so I can have an open one and hopefully add a sealed one soon.

Do you mean the Blue Tourbillon glassbox? Yup it's in it. Basically all of TAG's core 2023 releases are in it, except for the things already mentioned and anything else still coming this year (e.g. rumored Year of the Dragon).

These are the ones mentioned as MIA for 2023 so far:
- Saudi Arabia LE
- 36mm Ladies Plasma
- France
- CronotempVs (CC)
- Harrods LE (gold, green dial & strap)
- 44mm Green Sport
- Japan blue MOP
- Year of the Tiger Chrono
- Ikuzawa
- Gold Glassbox
- China Green H02T
- 36mm Ladies diamonds (peach & silver)
etc.

I'm a little surprised that they didn't include the gold glassbox. Because I know they had shown a preview (behind the scenes) to some at Watches & Wonders, so it was ready like the Skipper & Chronosprint. But I think they were saving its release to finish the 60th Anniversary year on a high note. Which probably made the timing too close for comfort to include in the book.

Jeff Stein is credited for writing about the first 100 years, but it doesn't say who's responsible for the Ultimate reference section. There are other mistakes in the vintage section too, like a 1153 labeled as a 1553 and vice versa. Probably a little too much "cut & paste" going on? It should've been better proof read, knowing how much that section means to collectors.

It's a shame really, because one can not 100% trust the Ultimate guide like a bible for either vintage Heuer or TAG Heuer Carreras.
