It appears there will be a new book coming to celebrate the 60th anniversary.

New book about the TAG Heuer Carrera, by Nicholas Biebuyck, to be released at the end of August 2023 (348 pages). It looks interesting 👍

On UK Amazon, the book seems to be called "Tag Heuer Carrera: The Race Never Stops" and is £70 pre-order. Release date 9th November 2023.

I have pre-ordered.

Is this the new TAG Heuer Carrera book we've been hearing about for the 60th Anniversary?
I was expecting something similar to the past Carrera, Autavia, and Monaco books that were available via TH Boutiques.

I think the book by Nicholas is a different book.. although it’s written 'Editions de La Martiniere” on both covers 😕

The one called “The Race Never Stops” (attached pictures from one that was announced at eBay, and sold today) seems a promotional book by TAG Heuer similar to the past Carrera, Autavia, and Monaco books (those were not sold by Amazon)

Hmm. It's not very clear is it

Maybe they are two versions of the same book: one with the red cover and TAG Heuer logos as a promotional gift for TH customers, and another version (with a different cover) to be sold as a normal book

But of course the book with the red cover doesn’t seem a 348 pages book (as it’s explained in the Amazon offer for the other? version)

I just saw that too. This is confusing, they both have the same name. On the Amazon US website, it shows the publisher as being La Martiniere/Abrams. The image shared by Albert has the same publisher too, La Martiniere, but no Abrams.

Could be. Or the image above is just a placeholder and the real book looks like the red cover version.

But the red cover book doesn’t seem a 340 pages book at all 😕 (the previous Carrera book by TH has 280 pages and it’s at least two times wider)

Well plenty of time till November to work it out, and if it arrives and I don't like it, it's Amazon, so I can just send it back for a refund.

Good point.

Also, the image on Amazon says "The Beating Heart of Racing". I do find it odd that Nicholas would choose a Bamford looking image of the Carrera though, rather than a Heritage piece, for the cover. The image even has modern style pushers and TAG Heuer shield.

Yes, the cover on Amazon is probably just a provisional cover, but number of pages (340-348) doesn’t match the red cover book… so maybe there is a short version (red cover) as a gift for TH customers (in fact this book already exists, because an eBay seller in UK sold one of them today) and the full version will be sold as a normal book (by Amazon)… or maybe the information about number of pages is just wrong 😗

I remember that there was a -normal- book about Steve McQueen that had a different cover to be a TH promotional book, but it was also sold as a normal book. Maybe it’s a similar case

Starting to wonder more about the black and white Carrera graphic. Could it be a concept art draft for a new 39mm Carrera "Night Driver"? I mean, it's like no real Carrera that's ever been released.

Pre-ordered Nicholas Biebuyck's book.
I'm going to wait a bit, the pre-order US price of $100 seems a little high. Since it's 83 EURO and 70 GBP in other regions. Strangely, the release dates are different too, Aug for EU, Oct for US and Nov for UK.

Amazon will adjust the price when it ships. The only thing that you're doing, is ensuring that you are part of the pre-order. My credit card was not charged.

Yeah I understand that part. I just want to wait & see whether the price will be adjusted to match the Euro pricing and what the difference is between this book vs. what'll be in boutiques.
