Not that I doubt you — but I'm not seeing the limited to 150 anywhere on the site. How was the limited nature confirmed?

I'd love for this to be part of the collection so I can actually get one. All the limited colors has been fun to look at, but they're unobtanium and I lose interest once I can't actually buy something.
I was shown a picture of the case back, which had a numbered limited edition of 150. Granted, this could have changed, so I will post an update if otherwise.

UPDATE: This was originally supposed to be limited to 150, now it's not.

Hopefully you mistakenly didn't see it's a limited edition of 150000 😁

I believe this project precedes your design; although it shows great foresight from your end! 😀

Limited edition? But whyyyyyy.
I'm sure if this becomes a success, there could be other variations in the future.

Bases on the generally positive comments on this edition, I guess people / the media have got over the idea of later issue colour schemes appearing in a case shape derived from the earlier autavia.

Not an issue for me but i seem to remember this being picked up on more when the siffert was release

I’d like to think it was the success of the Siffert that got others thinking about which other 70s models were possible 😎

Should TH have used the tachy bezel of the Hodinkee orange boy?

I was just thinking about that, the numbers on the bezel have never quite sat right with me. I think it's a case that the look better in the metal thou.

I love my Calibre 11 Siffert Autavia but have a question for David.
Was the option for a two register version (ala the most recent Autavia released today) not available when you went through the design process.
To my knowledge, the original Siffert was two register so I can only presume that the 3 register and was the only option?
Just interested to know the design choices that went on behind closed doors for this masterpiece.

At the moment I just hope that TH for some strange reason would release this world-wide and in a less limited edition, something similar to what they did with the Monaco Gulf last year. A numbered series of 150 watches limited to the American market will sell out too quickly and will probably be too hard to find on other markets for me...

I suspect they will. Maybe not identical but if it sells well as an LE then I expdct a mass market non limited version close to but not identical to the LE is likely to follow. Why would they not if there is demand? I’m equally hoping this will be the case anyway. And maybe slightly ‘cheaper’ too.

If it had orange hands I’d have been all over it already! It is a stunning piece.

There might be some smaller modifications off course to distinguish the limited edition from the standards. Maybe the bezel would be a good choice to do something about, as some people have mentioned already.

If such a watch would come I guess it would be with a slightly lower price tag. Limited and numbered editions are premium and should have a bit higher price tag. At the same time, I have nothing against a limited and numbered edition, but preferably in markets and quantities where I would have a fair chance of getting one 😉

If the Hodinkee Orange Boy were two register like this I'd have probably bought it. Considering you can get a really nice actual Viceroy Autavia for just about half the price of this one though.... nah
