·Finally arrived!! 😀 I wished this watch since it was launched in 1994 🙄, because Ayrton Senna was -and still is- my hero, and even more since I met him personally in Spa-Francorchamps 1993
It was too expensive for me in 1994, and being a Limited Edition of just 1000 units (in Gents size like this one, the bigger one, Ref. WH1114) it was quickly sold out... so it was like an impossible dream

So when I found this brand new (NOS) 6000 Senna WH1114 in Australia, 25 years after it was launched... 25 years after Ayrton is missing... I went for it!
It was a long wait (mainly because of the customs), but when it finally arrived, brand new, with all the stickers and labels... I had a very special feeling, making the dream possible, 25 years later 😀
I found the watch in this Australian company:

And its Director, Rodney Mangion was very kind and professional. He even sent me a beautiful leaflet about this Limited Commemorative Edition. So thanks Rodney! It was a pleasure to deal with you! 👍
The included Certificate also explains that Sfrs. 500 of each sold watch were donated to the Senna Foundation to help underprivileged children
After 25 years waiting, it was time to remove the stickers and labels, and finally wear this 993/1000 Senna 😀
It’s so beautiful 🥰, and it looks very different depending on the light and the angle
It looks small on the wrist if we compare it with current 43-45mm watches, but not too small. In fact it looks slightly bigger than my other Senna coexisting watch (which I bought in 1996): the S/EL Chronograph, here side by side:
I have ordered in my AD the other strap that was originally available for the WH1114 (the bracelet BA0675), to join the black leather strap FC6030, because I love both combos 🥰
