Ha, I knew it! The Searacer stopped again.... and of course like a fool I tried to do it of an evening, when I should have waited til tomorrow and done it in daylight! Only took me half an hour... what the hell is the point of that little bit of metal that goes over the battery, other than being dreadfully annoying!

You know, if I only had a few watches I probably would send them away... but if we assume a three year battery life, I have 24 quartz watches - £85 or thereabouts each time, that's £680 a year spent on something that for the most part can be done myself at a tiny fraction of the cost. Not to mention, all the trips to take them back and weeks without each watch. The 500m Aquaracer had to go back because I couldn't get the back off, but I bet it's just the same inside. I wonder if they put it on with a machine? I guess it has to be super tight for 500M.
