Wow that is horrible!

The comment about fakes on a plane reminded me of a conversation I had with the owner of my local auto part store who I vaguely know. I saw he was wearing a grand carrera, and asked him about it because it looked fantastic. He got slightly flustered then made up a story about it being a fake from India. I'm totally certain it was genuine and he didn't want people to think he could afford a £6k watch.

Not through the bay, but a local private seller. No box but has the international warranty card. Please advise the authenticity of this Chronotimer? Also, did a completed listing search on ebay's and the price offered is around the same ~US830. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance!

Looks fine; these were not mimicked as far as I know.

Looks good to me, one advantage of these kinds of watches is the fakers can't just chuck in any old movement.

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me determine if this watch is authentic or not. My father in law passed away this summer and I was given the majority of his watches as my brother in law doesn't really wear them. My FIL maintained that when he was on business in China he would buy replicas because he just wasn't really a watch guy and would rather spend his money elsewhere. I've since discovered that of the watches I was given two were authentic and two were fairly obvious replicas. I'm assuming this is a replica as well because the #s are on the bezel and not inside, but to my untrained eye the movement appears to look in the ballpark of right, and keeps EXTREMELY good time.

My purpose isn't to try to sell any of these, or really even care that much if it's "real or fake". I plan on keeping all of them around as they are of sentimental value. Just wanted to know for my own sake if they're authentic or not.
Incorrect movement.

This doesn't look quite right to me - in quite a few ways. Here's a picture of the one I used to own (which was definitely genuine!) for comparison. Note the position of the hour markers in relation to the subdials. Also, the caseback should have the model reference on it. Yours doesn't. Also, look at your date window misalignment issue - not something you'd expect from something that's supposedly "Swiss made"

In fact, now I look at the pictures more closely, yours is definitely a fake. Loads of other issues as well.
