This was gift, I've done the crystal test and I passed but cannot find any info about it online, I've seen many replicas which have various differences , any info would be appreciated, thank you

Sorry, this is a bad fake. The subdials are in the wrong places and it just looks cheaply made. This watch costs about £2500 new, even allowing for a hard life this does not.

You guys just don’t recognize High Horology even when it slaps you in the face…

This is clearly a Cal.11/12-homage modular chrono with its base movement sitting atop the chrono module 😉

Thank you , but any info on this actual watch would be appreciated, I've seen a million which isn't it
Since it isn't an authentic Tagheuer you have come to the wrong place to get info on your watch.

I understand but I assumed it was copied from a real tag and that is the info I was referring too

Sorry I don't really know what information you want, it's clearly fake so what else can I tell you? It's not like I can point you to a manual for it or something... best thing you can do is smash it to pieces and throw it in the trash.

Crime bay strikes again 😎 have you not heard the ads on ABTW podcast, Ariel saying over and over that he goes to ebay every day because it is such a trustworthy and awesome place to buy authentic

I have just started watch collecting, and am trying to get a feeling for how wide-spread fake Tag Heuers might be.

What are the most commonly faked Tag Heuer models? From what I've read on this forum, it seems like the quartz Aquaracers may be the most common fakes. Is that true, or other models just as "popular"?

Also, are all the fakes quartz models, or do they also fake the automatic mechanical watches too? If they fake the automatics, do they do any with the display backs? It seems like a closed-back watch would be much easier to fake than one where you can easily see the mechanism.

Aquaracer and Formula 1 are extremely common as counterfits, quartz or mechanical doesn't matter. Many fakes use genuine movements, a sellita sw200 (what TAG Heuer calls calibre 5) is super cheap to buy which means some well made fakes will have the authentic movement inside. Many fakes are so well made, you would not be able to tell just by looking at it. These days, only buy from an authorised dealer or used only from a source you trust 100%.

It was a cool design. There was also a stainless steel model planned, but then things change. Every few months I spend some time looking around the internet to see if any come up for sale...one for the true collector!
Are you still looking for this one? I have one on hand and planning to sell it.

No way of telling if it is even real.
