Eeehm who is the seller? No way photo 1 and 2 are of the same watch as photo nr 4? Look at the lume pip and compare. In the fourth photo the lume pip has a distinct gap/circle around it, not the case in photo 1 and 2

I sound like a broken record...LOL.
Haha, yeah maybe it is time we close this thread and just end it with a public disclaimer. "Never buy a used Aquaracer, it will be fake".

Maybe just approach every used Aquaracer as a fake until you are proved otherwise.

It annoys me that I can't buy a used green WAY Aquaracer because the odds are it will be fake

You could always buy it from somewhere where you are guaranteed to have your money back if fake, and start by sending it to TAG for authentication

Yeah, I know. But it seems like such a bad start to a supposedly 'luxury' purchase doesn't it? Besides, I've moved on the the new green Aquaracer now. If it ever bloody comes out!

yes I don't think he makes an effort for the photos, I don't understand his approach
Finally he sends the real pictures. It's fake. The other pics he sent I think were of a real watch. Maybe. Now, he's shown what he's really selling.

The chinese are slowly improving their WBP's. Still utter garbage but give them a couple years.

Edit: god I hate youtube shorts, may the inventor of youtube shorts suffer in pain
I'm in a couple clone groups. We are lucky with tags. Other brands are MUCH harder to notice. They don't seem to try as hard on the Tag heuers, or care when issues are brought up.

Well they try hard enough for all of us to be paranoid about WAY/WBD's...?

How does one become member of a clone group?

How does one tell the difference between a clone group and the real thing?

definetely not my friends lol. These are groups of people that sell and trade clone watches, and source out the factories that produce them. Sometimes people that work directly with the factories, or even people from the factories. They have some very strict rules too. Otherwise they'd be banned for the obviously illegal things they are doing. No prices are ever mentioned. All goes through private messaging. It's all very cloak and dagger lol. Funny you mention make believe. Because that's what these groups are. It's kinda like in prison, where everyone is innocent. Here, everyone is just a collector. Private collector. They do it because they can't afford the real thing. Or they have the real thing and want a cheap spare. Or they do it like a test drive for a real thing. I gotta admit, that last one kinda makes sense. Also, none of them believe they are donig anything bad, or that they are hurting anyone. I tried to bring up some of the ways they are in fact hurting people lol. They obviously didn't agree. All things considered tho, they are a surprisingly good group of guys.

I feel like there is not enough context lol. These are groups, that buy and sell and trade fake watches. THEY refer to them as clones. Not counterfeits. not fake. So that's how they refer to themselves. Clone groups.

So we have our own "inside" man Mr. @jamesbizs as a member of an underground clone group! What a resource for us! I wonder if they are working on a better lume pip? I hope not! Mind you, I personally won't be purchasing an Aquaracer or Formula 1 anytime soon.

@jamesbizs - do these clone groups also talk about the manufacturing of Formula 1 watches? Or do they talk about cloning all TAG Heuer watches?

Tag heuers aren't that important to them. They seem obsessed with Rolex tho. Omega is pretty big too. They don't talk about formulas, but there are sellers that sell them. And unlike us, they do clones of ALL models.

I haven't been having an easy time lately, so I haven't been able to put much effort. I'm only part of 2 groups, but there are many. It's also UK groups, as they seem to be really into watches there, compared to us.

And I've asked about the lume pips. Not sure I've talked to anyone that has said anything that matters. The seamaster lume pips they have are on point. 95% of the watches I've seen are great, with the 5% not being good. With tag, it's 5% good and 95% bad lol. Rolexs are mostly good too.

I'm still just trying to learn all the terminology of the fakes. What the different factories make and are good at. The fakes have specific grades too. Different factories are better than others. Different sellers deal with different grades. Seems like the watches we have are not the best grade, and also seems like I can buy them for $100....

I'm really trying to find out if they have the best grade versions for these watches. The website that sell them, never have accurate pics. But the groups post up the real pics of what you'd get.

James the infiltrator 😁
One of the things I don't like about buyers of fakes is the way they'll call their watches by the name it's a replica of.
ie "my Sub, Seamaster, Aquaracer etc etc"
F*ck off its a fake

It is clear that popular models, Asians have learned to fake perfectly (almost perfectly). But are there such perfect fakes unpopular models, for example this one

I mean, that's just a formula 1 like all the others. not really sure what constitutes an unpopular model. Pretty much every model gets faked. But not every model gets sold on the market. There are a list of specific models that they sell on ebay and other such places. If anything, special ones are even better. " hey, get your 1 out of 300 model! We only have 400 of these left, so hurry up!"
