I'm seeing no issues. The fakes have NEVER been able to duplicate the way the bracelet is put together. See the center part between the links? See how they extend out into the sides towards the dimples? No one has duplicated that.

Hi dear Fellows

REGARDING FORMULA 1, CAH1113 ORANGE DIAL

Im a collector wich have focus on a broad small but different types of watches.

I love the Monaco and have owned three of them.

I recently bought a Formula 1 CAH1113 wich is equipped with white subdials. I only found one or maybe two pictures on internet on a orange formula 1 with white subdials (all other are like with alu/silver subdials)

My questions is for the forum members that know alot of theese Tag Heuer watches is this a very rare model or is it possible even a fake?.

Have they even been produced in orange with white subdials?.

Watch (but not actual watch) as in enclosed link:

Hi all, just joined because I'm out of options before sending to Tag - they want $400 to authenticate the Aquaracer WAY201A I bought from a small jewelry shop in Michigan. Seems like a stretch but after calling them and asking for clarification, it sounds like that also includes a service on the movement. I did as much research as I could to try and make sure it was genuine before buying, the watch itself looks great but as someone who has personally seen counterfeit Rolex watches, this doesn't mean much.

From my perspective...

I noticed the rotor on this Calibre 5 is a bit noisy, noisier than I expected but maybe that is normal. Rotor noise isn't exactly proof of anything necessarily. Is this normal?

The crystal doesn't seem to have that blue-ish hue from the AR coating but it is very clear.

Tag said they had no record of the serial number but the person I spoke with clarified that the serial number wouldn't show up unless the warranty was activated by an AD. This tells me the watch was likely bought gray market - I have no problem with this so long as it's genuine.

Any input is appreciated, trying to get a high-level feel before I spend the money to have it authenticated.

Could be different in the USA but here in the UK they will authenticate for free.

I'm not entirely confident in the person I was speaking to. It's almost like she was just giving me a high number so I wouldn't be surprised if things needed to be replaced. Kind of appreciate that but not when specificity is required.

Does it need servicing? Did you ask for a service? $400 sounds about right, I would guess £300 here for a service... plus there might be carriage charges

I did not ask for service, she just told me after asking for clarification that it includes a service because they have to take the movement apart and putting it back together with lube and all of that is essentially a service.

Sounds fishy to me. They will definitely do it free here... but I don't know about the US.

There would be a benefit, she told me I would get an invoice from Tag stating the watch is genuine and a 2 year warranty on the service which is certainly nice and gives me something to keep in case I decide to sell it later. I really just want to if there is enough information in my pictures to prove it's real before I waste time and money sending it to Tag just to tell me the same thing.

The pins and tubes out of any spare bracelets links with the watch.
If you need to remove a link to check there's an arrow on the inside of the bracelet (or should be) to show you which direction to push the pin out.

Well I am not sure about this one, photos are a bit blurry. One thing that could help is if @Gilly11277 can post close up photos of the bezel lume pip from different angles.

I find it hard to judge boxes and hangtag but I am sure someone else here can do that.

The lume pip doesn't look too bad does it ?
Usually the fakes fail spectacularly with the lume pip even if everything else is OK.

Hope this works. There is a ding on the 12 marker as you can see, the ring around the pip looks like it might be polishing compound. I took a soft bristle toothbrush to it and it looks better but not perfect.

Mine didn't come with any spare links. Do you have a picture showing what this looks like? I took the watch off and inspected the bracelet closely, I don't see any arrows. Might have to remove a link and check the mating surfaces on the parts that are covered.
