Hi, new member

I got Tag Heuer on ebay
I'm asking does it look legit
Paid $550.00 USD
Thanks in advance
Looks ok to me👍
Case and crown look exactly the same as my 2008 F1.
Bezel is a similar shape too, is it fixed ??

I'm looking at a watch here guys and the caseback reads: 'WAY201S-0' - It's a green aquaracer. Is the -0 normal in the reference number? I've only ever saw case backs with 'WAY201S'

Other than that, the lume pip and bezel markers all match a genuine product going from all the valuable info in this thread!

Cheers

-0 on the end of a reference number just means it's a later iteration of that model. TAG often do this, adding -0, -1 or -2 to signify minor manufacturing differences/batches.

Was talking to someone at a TAG boutique today and they told me they are getting so many people bringing in fake watches bought from Amazon (and also Swiss Watches Direct). They are really good, mostly they can't even tell but then they get a call from the service centre and they have to ring people and tell them - must be really shitty having to do that. I just can't say strongly enough that buying from the grey market is a huge risk and really not worth it to save 20%.

Often when I inform people online that their watch is fake, I get a hostile reply. One day when they service that calibro cinco, they shall think of me and know I was right all along.

This isn't really buying grey market tho. It's more like buying on the open market.

Surprised to hear that about Swiss Watches Direct - only heard good things about them.
Amazon I can understand

It seems like, by the time the watches need a battery or a service, they've already left their 'Trust Pilot' reviews or whatever 2 years back...
If you think about it, there's really no reason you would find out a really good fake until it has to go back for some reason. I would say if you really want to buy grey market, you should definitely send it to TAG Heuer for verification straight away.

I'm sure there are legit grey market dealers, but how does anyone know which ones to trust?

Pretty sure a lot of em sell fakes unknowingly, unless they’re ‘new’ of course.

Well a few months ago I contacted a company about the green dial Aquaracers they were selling on the internet. I asked them if they were genuine and they suddenly got very defensive about it and then told me they would be withdrawing them from sale while they looked into it.

The battery will run out before the mechanical watch will need servicing though..

hello guys I hope somone can help me as soon as possible .
I bought a 2022 formula 1 chronograph from eBay , I was told it’s a grey market watch . Seller has alot of tags for sale on his page and all 100% positive feedback for his watches . I’m still unsure after reading all these forums is the watch authentic or not . Was hoping somone could help me figure it out .
He sent me this video of my actual watch showing me authentication and the warranty card and number is showing as active
Link to YouTube video he sent me below

Is this guy known? Will tag heuer authenticate it at shop?

He sells horse race betting advice.... I think that says a lot.

No shop will verify a TAG, it has to be sent back and they will check it out - this includes a metallurgy test - they will tell you for sure, and it's free.

I hope it's not fake, but this was one of those guys who miraculously had the green Aquaracer when it was impossible to find one.

Ok well I will just send it him back to save the hassle I have seen others discussing his watches on here aswell and not positively , somone has already told me it’s a super clone with box and papers also .just wanted to check. Seemed to good to be true for the price
