I notice the holes in the back of the bracelet, is it actually possible to take this style of bracelet apart for polishing? I mean the 'shoulder' rather than the links... ?
I mean, could I remove them? Maybe lol. I've done a lot of things that you can't do. But they were not meant to ever come apart again and it would take 10 times as long to remove them, than for me to just tape the links off and make sure nothing touches. . The "holes", are just marks from making the pin inside, permanent. If you compare to an SEL, it's the same thing with those, but they use a little ball thats moveable, seeing as how the links come apart on one side.

Ah, thought that might be the answer... it seems a bit stupid that they don't come apart given that those parts of a bracelet are just as likely to stretch as the rest of it... but there you are.

lol don't even get me started on things being stupid that Tag does with their parts... Ugh. You just want to hit your head against the wall sometimes.

I'm not rich either, only having been a factory shop floor engineer in my working life and I didn't get my first Tag till 2008 at the age of 50.
I rate the Aquaracer too, the brushed bezel, polished case, secure bracelet and the blue dial.
I hope you'll have a wrist shot on Monday of the new watch for us 👍
It's something positive to think about too.
Wrist shot as promised. Just arrived today.
Very happy with how it looks considering its from 2017.
Only thing I've noticed is the movement seems quit loud with any movement of my wrist.

lol. I don't know why, but I just haven't been buying those. It's much easier to figure out fakes when they have bracelets. And I also sometimes sell the links to people as after market parts lol.
I do have a strap watch coming tho, from a seller I wasn't sure about.

Some of them look amazing actually. Did you see some of the detailed pics I've taken, of the internals and bare dials?

The Links are very good. Never seen this kind of “trophy”.
How exactly do you “earn” those trophies?

Hi folks, my first post on the forums but been using the main site for a while now.

I’ve been after a late 80s 972 for a while. Ideally in decent condition. Found the one in the pictures below and it appears, to me at least, to be genuine. Located in Italy and was apparently an unsold watch found in a jewellers. However, the fact that it is close new, never sold and sat in a stock room for over 30 years makes me question it. Could it be possibly just a used but refurbished watch? Is it seemingly genuine? Even if refurbished it might still be worth it.

What the AF is this supposed to be? No time telling hands, but a day/date... no crono pushers, and battery powered!
😁
