It's a bit like a chintzy version of your Calculator but without the 15 bezels.

Not very 'executive' looking either!

Well it's round and it has a bracelet.... 😗

Am i right in thinking this is fake?
The bezel looks totally wrong to me: its flat and the "teeth" aren't full height of the bezel. (could it be a replacement?)

Personally, I think it looks OK. Bracelet has quite a bit of stretch. Not too sure what you're saying about the bezel.

I thought the 1000 series bezels weren't competely flat, but 'domed' slightly. (ie as if they were part of a dome shape), and the 'grip' slots cut into the outer ring of the bezel were full height, not just in the top half. I could be wrong. I haven't got my one for comparison.

I bought a fake (knowingly) around 10 years ago at a market in Thailand. Was interested to inspect closer; movement etc.

looks very similar to the one mentioned above.

Hello,
I find this Tag Heuer in my granpa's basement and to be honest dont know nothing about the brand. It has broken glass and maybe need of a new battery source, but it looks nice and i would put it on my wrist daily. Can u tell me if its authentic or not and what does those numbers on the back says "CR2111" and "86358080"

Sorry, it's very obviously a fake.

I’m sorry, but as @imagwai says, this is a -bad- fake watch. You can find info of the authentic TAG Heuer CR2111 (Monza) here:

Hi all,

I got this watch some 13 years ago as a hand me down from a relative who received it as an unwanted gift. Can somebody shed some light on its (supposed) authenticity? I’m having doubts (although I have zero experience). A different watch comes up when I search for WK1211 and I assumed it to be a red flag. After a whole bunch of digging, I found this exact watch under number WL55119.BA0700… Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Well, the model number is certainly wrong. I'm not 100%, but reasonably confident in saying yours is likely a fake.

There are definiteley some questionable details, but if it is a fake it's the best Kirium fake I've ever seen.

To my eye, your watch looks original. It is a Kirium, circa 2000. You are correct about the model number although WL51111 is for a black dial. Looks as if the back is a replacement from a 2000 sports watch series. If you look closely, you can see the wear marks from the original, slightly wider, back cover.

Edit: Picture attached from a 2000 catalog.

The clasp looks right, but the text on it looks slightly suspect... then again, maybe it's a replacement?

So are we saying genuine but with an incorrect caseback and a repainted dial? That writing looks pretty funky to me.

Now, I knew there was something funny about the date window. See how the date window cuts into the rehaut, that's how it should be.

Based on the difference of the date windows, I'd say it is possibly a replica......Unless there was a change in dial production. Opening up the watch to see the movement would tell for sure.
