Yeah it's a shame for genuine sellers and private sellers who maybe want to sell their tag watch to buy a new one.

I'm the buyer looking for a genuine 2nd had tag heuer watch to add to my early tag aquaracer.

But after buying a fake off EBay, I'm wary to buy.
Go for it. You've got us to help you now lol.

True. And I do feel slot safer with the forum and yourself looking out for the fakes.

I finally got a couple of these ultra fakes in. They are very good, yes, but I can tell you the second I hold one, they are fake. I've taken them completely apart. I kinda want to do a tutorial lol but at the same time, it would be a " how to make better fakes 101" as well.

I have plenty of seikos selling online, but I am never risking shipping to anywhere near Europe. Micheal Kors also does this.
I'm pretty sure I've done nothing wrong in listing it. If I had, then eBay would surely have warned me when I listed a Seiko for sale. I'm sure Seiko are not interested in a private seller selling a used European market Seiko from the UK into the EU. Brexit hasn't happened yet!

No, ebay will not warn you. They don't give a damn, UNTIL the rights owner complains. It's not against the rules to list it. In fact, many things are against policy, but you will receive no warning for listing them, until someone actually physically notices it. It's just their policy to remove anything the rights owner says you can't sell, and as I quoted from the rights owner directly, you aren't allowed to sell them. Trust me, I fought it tooth and nail. I think it's stupid, but that is how they do things. NOW, as far as UK to EU, well, I don't know. Maybe they aren't on the UK ebay site. But they sure as hell care about America, but based on their policy, it seems that they are after anyone from outside Europe shipping to Europe.

Are you selling new (like new) or used items? I could understand the former if you're not an AD with rights to sell into that jurisdiction (in which case they're just protecting their authorised dealer network). I wouldn't mind betting too that this is aimed at dealers/businesses rather than private individuals selling a single pre-owned watch. Given the amount of time I've been on various watch forums, this has never come up before either, so it can't be that common.

usually new without tags, new with defects, and sometimes used. As far as seikos, I only had 1 or 2 per month anyways.

So, I just received an email from ebay, warning me that the item I bought from a seller, might have issues. Someone they just suspended. So theres actually hope that buyers will actually KNOW they bought fakes.

Good news, I feel bad for doubting TAG though...
Hey hey hey! Careful now! Lol. Mine was easy. Jonnyv is not. Just removing the crown on mine, will tell any competent tag service person that it’s fake. Easily.

The tubes on these ultra fakes are also a bit off. But not as off as these. I’m not sure if I want to waste my time sending them in yet.

I thought you both sent the same watch, the red 1000 Series?

You can see the lime on the bezel is off. Rounded rather than the clean flat. That, is the easy tell that you can see from pictures. Assuming they don’t show a picture of the box logo, which is even easier.

Nah. I sent in a WJ1112. I’m not into the older styles and don’t know much about them either. Also, we should probably start a list of all the fake 1000’s. BUT, we have to be 100% before I send any info in. He’s taking me at my word as an expert and I am not going to chance losing that trust.

C.Wsoles does seem to have taken his watch down off eBay.
