I found the same red one on Ebay but there’s also a genuine one listed from another seller. The difference in dial is obvious. But more importantly the jubilee and endlinks are exactly like mine. I’ve looked at various 1000s online but can’t find another with the disputed watch’s jubilee and end links.

Hey guys I'm the one from WUS forum that is currently doing the investigation on the ebay scammers. If anyone has any questions, or information, don't hesitate to post it up.

I'm concentrating on the WJ series at the moment.
All the WJ models are fake. I can only assume the rest are fake as well.

Here is the other seller.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/TAG-HEUER-...236281?hash=item469b1f6379:g:z3wAAOSwOPldT88F
and the third
https://www.ebay.com/itm/TAG-HEUER-LINK-BLUE-Quartz-Gents-Watch-WJ1112-/123851706921?hash=item1cd6231229:g:GcUAAOSwEDBdO3lF&nma=true&si=qlu9%2FVan5m%2FmAeDAsWgeytnj2E8%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

ALL selling the exact same 8 types of watches. All from completely different countries. All do auctions, from .99 cents. ? All claim they aren't connected. Two of them even start listings on at the exact same time.
They sell
The WJ link series.
THe Formula 1 series.
the 1000 series.
WAF series
LONGINES CONQUEST
Seiko turtle
and the omega quartz . NOTHING ELSE

All are the same fake WJ's. SO again, I can only assume the rest are also fake. But hey, could be wrong. Unless you send it to tag themselves, you will not be able to tell it's fake. Changing a battery, will not do it. Because they use the correct ETA movement. All the serial numbers are different ( none can be traced tho). Even the case back, is the correct thread and diameter. Where they mess up, are, the crown and tube. It's a much smaller tube. The screws holding the links together, are also smaller, and can't be swapped with the real ones. The end links are rounded out and cheap and the numbers lazered are too large, and I've never seen an end link say AL rather than a G or a Y. but maybe.
The bezel is cheap, and uses a click wire like the original tags rather than the flat disk. The 12 dot on the bezel is slight skewed to the left. The outer glow markers on the dial, are wrong. Some very slight curves and edges, are wrong. 30 years working with tag. These are 100% counterfeits.

The 1000's appear to have the same end link numbers, and the end links appear wrong for the style. Not to mention, a seemingly endless supply of hard to find models. Someone else mentioned buying a F1, and one side of the bracelet was all removable links. Which isn't a thing.

I've shipped one watch to Tag Heuer. I just hope they don't just open the case and look at the movement. I bought two more from the other guy and plan on buying another from the guy mentioned on this thread. And send them all off to Tag Heuer. The more of you that can do this, the better. I've in contact with Tag, but I'm still not 100% sure they will do anything. One of the sellers has sold $100,000 in just the past few months. The market is being flooded with near perfect fakes, and it's going to destroy this industry. The second hand market is going to be extremely volatile soon.

I'm also on the tracks of another scam, but this one is brand new Formula 1's and Aquaracers. All posted for auction at low prices. All brand new with tags and boxes. All have clear plastic wrap around the bracelets.

Can anyone confirm the real ones come with clear plastic wrap? I don't think that to be the case. But I don't buy retail... so....
All of these are being listed by people with 10+ feedback accounts. They are listing and selling dozens of them.

There are also many that are listed as pre owned, despite looking like new. Probably to look less suspicious.

Here are just some of the few examples. We all know these are fakes....

Tiny sellers, with unlimited amounts of BRAND NEW wrapped tag heuer watches. I have no idea how ebay is alloying so many small sellers to sell high end brand new products like this.

Hopefully you guys appreciate my work more than WUS. Because apparently I haven't provided enough evidence after my hours of research and detailed qualifications for my assertions, pictures included, and I shouldn't call out these poor innocent sellers.

So blatant, just check 'other items for sale' and it's all the same things.... completely implausible.

This is my concern, how much effort are they putting into authenticating a watch that costs a few hundred pounds?

It’s astounding. You can buy a solid t dial 1000 for 500 to 600 if you look long enough. The watches look vintage, lots of dents and scratches. Are counterfeiters starting to copy vintage watches, with patina and all? The red copy on ebay even has weathered booklets and boxes. What’s next? Orange Boys?

Are you sure that one is fake though?

That's another thing I notices. It's like they pre scratch the watches. The bezels seem beat up, yet the crystals are perfect.

Also, are the end links on the 1000's supposed to have that type of end link? I don't know much about such older tags. BUt it's always been my knowledge, that the end links should match the clasp number. But their 1000's all have the end link number that says 455B. Even the two tone...

I just noticed the Omega they sold.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-PROFESSIONAL-300-JAMES-BOND-MEN-S-WATCH-GREAT-CONDITION-/303246156847?hash=item469ae1242f:g:hOoAAOSwcHRdRrIm&nma=true&si=9A%2FFGkbYTM1JBPxLkgyF3hfl5MM%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Someone paid $1200 for it. It's not even a good fake. And yet, just like the others, it has the correct movement. The bracelet is a super cheap fake. The bezel has a fake 12 oclock pip. but both could have been replaced...

Pretty sure it's from the same source. Listing here

This is the only listing I've seen with case, box and manuals.

The style of end links doesn't seem to match anything I've seen for the 1000's. Is it the difference between the bracelets with the solid links, rather than the folded links?

It is. I know it looks cheap, for an omega, but that is in fact the movement it comes with. And just like all the other "used and vintage" listings, the crystal is miraculously scratch free. SO unless they replaced every single crystal.... it looks like that's as far as they're willing to "age and patina" the watches.

455b are Rolex jubilee end links. As they fit 36mm Rolex cases I presume these must fit on the Tag Heuer 1000 as well. They won't be original Rolex for sure.

Hey guys, what do you think of this ?

What intrique me is that the position of the running second is on top. I almost never seen anything like that. Usually normal 7750 will place the running second on the 9.

What you guys think ?
