Is my TAG Heuer Authentic? All questions here please

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's real. I can't remember now, but you have to switch between Regatta mode and Chrono mode. In Regatta mode the left hand sub dial hand will go to the 6, and the red hand will start a 10 minute countdown, when it gets to the end the left hand sub dial hand should revert to 12 and the chronograph will start counting. This sounds a lot like you've suggested. I wouldn't expect to find a working fake of this watch to be honest, maybe you should find out how much it would cost to replace the hands or have them relumed?

I have the booklet and it has a bunch of instructions on how the use the functions. I hope to find some spare time this week to sit down and check them all out. At this point, it looks like the red hand functions fine along with all of the sub dial hands. Besides what looks like black enamel paint on the two hands, it appears to be a truly authentic watch. Now that I have worn the watch a few days, I have a hypothesis about the hands. I'm a little older and I don't have the best eyesight without my glasses (which I hate to wear). When I look down at this watch, I can easily see the location of the hands even though they are blurry. If they had the lighter lume on them, it might be difficult. Thus I may leave this as is and "sacrifice" the night time benefit (hell my cellphone glows at night right?). All in all, this is my first high end watch and it's awesome so far. Thank you again for your expert opinion.

Maybe that's the answer, the previous owner just wanted to make the hands more visible. Bit of a shame as it rather spoils the overall look... but if you're happy with it, then that's all that matters.

In 1998, I purchased a new 1964 Carrera Re-Edition (black dial) from an authorized TAG Heuer dealer in Montreal. I rarely wore it in the intervening years and recently I thought I ought to sell it so someone else could enjoy it. The thing is, when I researched these watches on your site (and others) I discovered an anomaly that leaves me uncertain of the authenticity of my Carrera. Apparently, the steel case black dial model should be style #CS3111. My watch is marked #CS3110 on the back, as is my bill of sale and TAG Heuer Guarantee Card. The serial number on the watch also matches the documentation. What do you suppose could have happened? Here are some pictures. I have blurred the serial number and my name from the photos of the watch and card. If this isn't the correct protocol for this forum, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

Could the dial have been changed to black? Here's another one that also had CS3110 on the caseback.

I guess anything is possible. But as I bought it new from an authorized dealer, why would they have swapped the dial instead of simply selling me an existing "black dial"?

Yes, that would be strange if you purchased it new from them. Maybe another owner of the same piece can chime in.

There's one time i purchased modern Carrera Heuer01 43mm and they gave me the wrong warranty card with the wrong serial number (the watch personal number not the series number). I didn't realized it until a month or so.

After i did realized it, i contacted them and they sort it all out for me. Changed my warranty card etc.

Now vintage heuer piece purchased long way back in 1998 might be trickier. Can you still find the shop after all this time ? What did they say about it ?

Hi guys I want to buy TH Carrera Calibre 8 GMT from Taiwan. Model number is WAR501Z, I cannot find nowhere in the internet pics of exactly this model, there is only WAR5011 which looks exactly the same but has „officially certified” logo below GMT dashboard. Is it authentic? (older model or maybe only for Asia market?)

Strange this one. It looks genuine throughout, including the movement. The rotor is lacking 'chronometer' so that is consistent with the detail at least. The lack of 'officially certified' would make me stay clear of it though. An obvious explanation would be that TH didn't have it certified in the beginning but there isn't one watch on chrono24 without this print. So I suppose only Tag Heuer could help you with this one. The watch doesn't seem to be a part of the current line-up anymore.

I could be looking to purchase a CS3111 or CS3113 at some point and this inconsistency would put me off buying, unless it was a bargain, in which case I'd be very interested! Not trying to negotiate but that gives you an idea of the answer to your question. But I guess it's also feasible some people won't even check the model number, or care.

You're kidding right? Even the seller says it's a "Tag Hebert"! One of the worst fakes I've seen in a long long time.

Purchased a first series F1 new when I was young and I loved it. Just got this running F1 chrono and I have two questions 1) Is it real? 2) What do you think its worth?
