Not a Tag, but you seem to know about watches?
Title of this thread is “Is my TAG Heuer Authentic?”… please don’t ask here about other watch brands, or this thread will be a mess 😉

Whoever told you that piece of junk was real was mistaken, it’s entirely wrong and the completely undecorated movement and wonky fonts is comically bad. If you’ve bought it I’m afraid you were cheated.

Yeah, because a dealer can authenticate a watch without sending it off to TAG. How many more times do we have to tell you people? ADs cannot authenticate watches.

But if domp is happy to wear a fake watch then I guess all is well.

Was it Tag Heuer who verified it? It a jewellers who sell TH? As the only people who could authenticate it is Tag Heuer.

Unfortunately the green Aquaracer is one of the more commonly faked Aquaracers.

The reason this forum doesn’t give specifics on what is incorrect on yours, is mainly that’s how fakers work to improve their fakes.

But now you mention it, I have heard @Jim Dollares does live under a bridge.

7. Listen to the Movement
When you are looking at a luxury watch, listen to it. A genuine watch will not tick or make any other sound. The watch mechanisms have been assembled carefully so that no noise is made. Fakes will not be made to this high standard, and so will make noise or tick.

You should also check what the movement looks like. In authentic watches, this will be smooth and gliding, whereas a fake will have a rougher movement.

LOL

I've been reading through these pages over the last few weeks, after I came a cross a replica site that listed the same model I recently purchased. CV2A1AB.BA0738

I bought this from an individual (US based) on eBay, not a watch reseller. This was the only watch sold in their recent history (not a watch reseller, just an average Joe)

I don't believe it is a replica - but how many times has someone said that here?

Hi @domp

You just signed up for the forum and you are disrespecting members with years of experience here and hundreds or thousands of posts… Does that seem right to you? Just by being here for so long, they must have learned something about TAG Heuer, right? 😉

You came here asking for an opinion on your dubious watch (if you were so sure about its authenticity you wouldn't ask), so you are admitting not knowing enough to distinguish whether it is fake or authentic… but you allow yourself to discredit two veteran members of the forum, just because their opinion (which you have asked for) is that your watch is a fake…

We would appreciate more respect, and if you don't value the opinion of all those who have told you it is fake, why are you asking? As they have also answered you, only by sending the watch directly to TAG Heuer (not to a store) can they verify its authenticity.

You will not be able to obtain a certificate of authenticity here either… only opinions from experts who know this model, and there must be a reason why they all agree that it is fake. If you have to respond disrespectfully to everyone who tells you it's fake, then you'd better not ask about the authenticity of a watch in this thread again. Thanks

Hello, I would like to buy my first (Hopefully of many) TagHeuer. A local has put his watch on the market, beacause he has slightly worn in and he prefers other watches. I’m at a relatively young age and do not know everything about authenticy yet. Before I go to the seller and think about buying this watch, I want to ask you more experienced TH owners if this is a real TagHeuer. Thanks for responding 🙏

Looks fine, assuming the dial is actually blue and the photo is just bad lighting.

Take pictures of the front of the watch. Remove a pin & collar from the bracelet and post a picture.
