Hmm... I was told that TAG are no longer offering this service. So you would have to send in for a service to find out.

Tag Heuer did not ALWAYS use golden movement. They didn't even always use swiss movements. I do not know how common it is/was, or when or what models, but for sure, in the early 1990's, the Tag Heuer 2000 came bouth with the signed golden ETA955.112 and a signed silver ETA 955.114.
Talking about ALL models with Ronda 5040....That means present models...the ones most faked....
There is also a statement in this thread somewhere, but i have it as a pic...(from this thread. If owner of info do not approve please remove image.)

Shame it's finished, would have been fun/annoying to report it so that eBay could tell us it's fine.

Is this authentic. It is missing the T from the T-Swiss Made-T. I can't find any online of this model that don't have the T. The model is WF 1220 - K0

The T refers to radioactive Tritium used in the luminous sections on the hands and indices. Watch manufacturers were required to indicate when Tritium was used - while safer than Radium, which it replaced, it was still hazardous.

Tritium use stopped in 1998 and, while the 4000 series was last seen in the 1997 catalogue, it's possible that TAG produced some without Tritium based lume on their dials.

However, it's more likely that the original Tritium dial was replaced during a service/repair.

No way this is fake. Fake 4000s are terrible.
Completely forgot to mention that! Got distracted by the Tritium marking.

Also a silver movement. Tag always use the golden movement. This is 6 jewels swiss parts , chinese assembled. The gold one is 13 jewels swiss parts, swiss assembled.
All fakes i have seen use this movement , the silver one.
Hello thanks for your help the watch has been reported and I have received my money back from the seller he didn't even argue but to receive my money I had to return the watch to the seller who once received it back put it straight back in auction on eBay 🙄🤬 I immediately reported him and the watch was taken down but he will probably try again 😔

Reported.
I reported it again. I told them they were making themselves look ridiculous claiming it wasn't fake. But they gave it the thumbs up a second time anyway.
