Its fake. As always it is very easy to just google the reference and immediately spot the differences. Caseback is off (ref is not supposed to be there, plus finish of caseback looks funky) but the most obvious tell is the running seconds sub dial. Colors of the logo seem too strong and bright but that might just be the photo/camera.
Your brother's fake watch
A genuine TAG Heuer caz1010
Again it makes one wonder how these filthy criminals who deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jail can make such "good" copies but be so blind to miss these obvious things like a sub dial.
Fake.
How ? Can you please explain
M mrramTeşekkür ederim, ben de öyle düşünmüştüm. Peki nasıl anladın, sahteyi orijinalinden nasıl ayırt edebiliriz?
Subdial print, hand dimensions, bezel lettering and machining, index dimensions. All have noticeable flaws.
Spend dozens of hours poring over fake and genuine watches.
But I tried to register my watch in tag heuer website so they asked for a serial number, in which after the serial number they showed my watch
If it was fake so why the tag heuer website accepting my serial number?
Many fake watches are showing real serial numbers… so the serial number is not enough to verify if a watch is legit or not.
There may simply be hundreds of fake watches using the same real serial number of a legit watch… probably the legit watch that the criminals bought to copy and make the fakes
And what about the barcode thing?
I've got a Carrera Calibre 16, on the rear is engraved CV2A1R, and below that is WKP8199. Where on this watch do I find the serial number? I'm pretty sure it's genuine, it came with the box and all accompanying materials, but I'd like to know for sure. This watch was a birthday present about 7 years ago, and I'm quite happy with it and it's performance, however recently it will stop and I have to reset the time. I'm guessing it might need servicing, but the complete service is $550, which I can't really afford right now. And help with the serial number issue will be greatly appreciated.
