Hello - Thanks in advance for helping identify whether this is an authentic Tag or not. I am pretty sure it isn't, but I'm new to the TAG watch game.
No cost to me. Came in a lot with other authentic watches. This was the only one I wasn't sure about.
Thanks!
Calibre 36 is an automatic movement, and your “Monza” has a Japanese quartz movement, so it’s not authentic…
What Albert said. Japanese movement cannot equate to "Swiss Made", and Cal 36 is the El Primero chrono movement and definitely not quartz!
Wow that is a surprisingly good fake for such an old and unpopular model
This fake looks nice, but there are many differences vs the original (below), like date window position, subdial hands, subdial numbers, crown, pushers…
Is this a fake number or real please. XCAZ2011/XX018376 it’s on a Indy 500 watch was looking to buy but not sure if it’s a fake

Evening everyone. Hoping for some advise. Took a gamble last week and bought this from a private seller on eBay. Had been chatting for a while and back story for watch seemed legit. Got it today and all looks good to me but then I’m no expert and have stumbled across this forum and now am starting to doubt whether this is authentic. Had been in Tag Boutique to have it resized and they thought it looked great but again without being sent off I assume they can’t guarantee anything. Any ideas or alarms I should be aware of before I start to escalate this with eBay/PayPal? Many thanks in advance.
Jim, thanks for coming back. Anything in particular I can address when reporting this to eBay and PayPal? I know eBay is a gamble and I guess I’ll learn from this.
I think that date glass look off. To my knowledge the crystal should be all smooth with the cyclops UNDER the crystal. Not like here it looks like a hole with glued in cyclops.
Is it flush or can you feel a dip ?
