Like I said subdials is biggest tell, why would that be on a chronograph which normally should have hour and minute totaliser counters.

The first and only thing you need to know for this piece is that Monaco does not come in a day / month / GMT variation. Those small circles / squares on the dial with the numbers (called sub-dials) are meant to be for the chronograph (stopwatch) function.

Hello fellow tag heuer users! 😀 I am able to buy a tag heuer watch but when i check it on tag heuer's warrany site it doesnt pop up. Seller claims its grey market which is okay, but I am still not sure. Here are some photos so you can help me! Thank you in advance and I hope you have a lot of luck in upcoming year!

Difficult to tell with these, but based on the lume pip, I think this one is probably a fake.

Yup definitely fake, who is the seller? Make sure to report the criminal trying to sell you this garbage

Thank you again, the one I sent you has a warranty card and the ID of the back of the watch pops up in tag heuer site. Is it possible that the newer versions of aquaracer lakcs the blackish thingy at it?

Nope, the criminals who manufacture these fakes often use a genuine serial number from an authentic watch. There can be thousands of fakes out there using the same serial number and when searching all of the owners will be falsely happy thinking good my watch is genuine cause I get a match.

And also, I have never serviced a watch in UK but I really hope that TAG Heuer genuine service warranty cards don't look like this 😒 off center and totally misaligned. I mean the logo is cut off and some of the lettering.

At this point TAG Heuer should probably remove that lookup tool from the site. It only plays in the hand of counterfeiters and gives buyers a false sense of security. Given the almost perfect copies these days you’d be crazy to buy recent releases second hand or from non authorized dealers. My watchmaker recently received a sub for service from a respected dealer. Turns out it was a fake. He only noticed when he completely disassembeled the movement. No other signs, even the total weight was correct to the gram.

I can't say for sure whether this one is genuine or not, but from experience, the real cards sent back after service by TAG are inconsistent and not well aligned. If in doubt, you can email them and they will check the watch for you.
