Hello all. I’d love some advice/opinions here. I purchased this Tag Heuer Aquaracer (CAY111A) from a seller on eBay. He has a 99% rating with almost 5k ratings, and appears to mostly sell high end watches, parts, warranty cards, and manual booklets. The watch itself looks great and unworn (though - in taking these pictures the flash shows some scratches that can’t be seen otherwise - polished maybe?). The issue/cause for concern is the warranty card and the listing title. He listed this watch as a 2022 Tag Heuer, yet the serial number came back warranty activated in 2017 (and the serial number on the warranty card has a typo). When asked about this (and I called out the serial check), he just noted that the Watch was from 2022 and kind of ignored the question about the 2017 date. He seems highly rated, so I’m trying to see if I’m overthinking this. Of course, when I go to sell this watch at some point, I will have issues with the warranty card date not matching the online checker. I’m also concerned that the Watch itself is a counterfeit, as I’m definitely not an expert. I’ve noticed that the two Chronograph buttons are somewhat odd, with the top one being more springy and the bottom one being a bit more mushy, but with a much louder and tactile click. I truly appreciate any advice here!
