Links are joined together when they should be separate...
Perhaps it's the quality of the picture, but it appears to be made of Stainless Stel!

I wonder why we get these one post, is this a fake questions....
I think he means, why do people show up out of nowhere, make one post, and then disappear never to be seen again.

I think the answer has to be that they have only one reason to be here - to confirm their watch is fake - and then once they've got that information, they're unlikely to stick around for a chat.

Perhaps. I'm thinking that the are either embarrassed or didn't like the answer they got.

I'm impressed that this thread has as many pictures as it has. Over on OF they post a link to an ebay sale that immediately gets taken down so no one can benefit from the lesson.

@Aquagraph: I didn't notice the one-piece links till you pointed them out. How obvious.

On another note. Tell me this doesn't make anyone else sad...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/18-k-SOLID...-2-700-VALUE-FOR-RESALE-OR-SCRAP/233605819712

Also, I"m pretty sure these links aren't solid gold. Tho I've been trying to figure out out for awhile. I think Tag made them in real gold at some point. Just as the bezel is solid gold. BUt a lot of the links I've seen, are just very heavy gold layered. Thick enough where you can polish out deep scratches tho

Yes, my contact at TAG also told me about gold watches being bought for scrap value... it's vandalism really.

Don't know if I should post this here at Vintage or New. Looking to buy this TAG for 110$. Only have that picture. Justin from Tag1000Diver says it's real, but I'm still skeptical.

I’d go with Justin’s advice, looks very like my series1000 but a decent picture of the caseback would help confirm.

A quartz, Calibre 1887, LOL.

With a Mercedes Bens 300ALR on the back, no less... limited to XXXX/1887. It doesn't get much better than that!

I'll be honest lol I stopped reporting blatant fakes. If people are really willing to pay money for them, more power to them I guess.

Ah yes, the red dial Link-SEL Calibre 16 quartz Indy 500 limited edition...
😁 And being a WAC1113 is also a Formula 1 in addition! Very rare! 😁

I thought you were joking with “Bens” and “300 ALR”... but it’s true! 🤦 ::facepalm1::

And the 300 “ALR” engraving is... 😵‍💫... you can compare with the original:
