Yes, swirls, and scratches.
Demo watches live under tough conditions; customers try them with jewelry on, cufflinks, next to their watches, put them back on the table or glass top and not the tray, making them prone to scratches.
It's a black case, so any scratch will show.

At that price point, you can check the grey market (authenticwatches / jomashop) for a newer model within a close budget.

This is very true, when i bought my black ti aquaracer, the demo watch looked like it had been through a war. Mine looks no-where near that bad, despite 2 years of near daily wear.

Hey guys I thought I was pretty good at spotting Grand Carrera Fakes - but there seems to be some really good ones out there now.

I know these are not the best pics, but can someone tell me if this TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS CAV5115.BA0902 is a fake / replica?

That dial is missing a lot of red... on many of the scripts.

Whomever paid 4,500$ over two very blurry pics of a watch is most likely to get disappointed...

I messaged her, She might actually think it's real. From her messages, and other items for sale I get the feeling her man took off and she's selling what she can. Little did she know that expensive Tag he was sporting was not so expensive 😉

As Calibre11 already said, nice, genuine watch, offered by a long-standing reputable seller that I did business with in the past, no problems with the items I bought at all and exactly as described.
The list to look for if a watch is fake or real is too long to list, you will get to know all the details of a watch over time from experience, not something that you can learn quickly.
But just to name a few, look for the logo's, inscriptions, model numbers etc. and compare it to others that you can find on Google images or better: check the Knowledge centre section on the Calibre11.com main site if a watch is in a catalogue for instance, which will be a great help if you are in doubt of authenticity.
