Kind of Mark- I'm going over for a few reasons, and while I'm there I'll be spending a couple of days at TAG Heuer HQ and then going to the Geneva Motorshow, where TAG Heuer will have a stand and will apparently launch a couple of new watches ahead of Basel.

I know someone who is travelling over with the brand at the same time. I was just curious to see if you were travelling with the same group

Looks like they're marketing the 39mm size at both men and women.

TAG Heuer launches two new TAG Heuer Carrera timepieces, each sporting a vintage look and the iconic Heuer logo. The new pieces capture the heritage of Heuer, and give it a unique and very modern twist. Their 39 mm cases are an ideal choice for stylish men and women.

This makes it sound like these are available. Is the availability going to be sooner that expected?

Not sure- officially it's June- July, but that could have changed. Your AD would be the best bet

I called the TH (U.S.) corp number and they were of no help. The representative didn't have any dates, but ended up telling me that "according to Calibre 11 website, the release will be July 2015".

So once again David, you seem to be the authority in all things TH.

They check here to see what their own company is up to. Nice one. 😀

I've got a crate of them in my garage- just waiting for the truck to show up 😉

Hmm. A lot of focus on rehashing the old "$1000-$3000" price point line, which has since been updated to "$1500-4500"- the mistake is to just play back what is being said without watching what is actually happening. Same mistake last year when lots of people wrote that the Calibre CH80 was being "delayed", implying it would only be a few months away.

Indicative
pricing for this Carrera in the US is $6400, not $5000, and there will be quite a few new models this year that sit above that "$4500" top end, and very few (chronographs) below. You will not see a Carrera Chronograph at $3000 (probably not even $4000)- I'm not saying this is a good thing!

Finally, the Calibre 18 was signed off during JC Biver's time, albeit in his capacity as Chairman rather than interim-CEO.

All good points David. I also caught the discrepancy with the estimated price-point. You should send and email to the author to see if they issue a correction.

Hah, Ariel is big enough to do his own research. If I tried to critique everyone's TAG Heuer articles I would have a) no spare time and b) no online friends 😉 ...I don't want to be "that guy". Plus, everyone has different sources- Ariel may know more about US prices...and for what it's worth, I hope he's right!

Good; so Felix is basically in-sync with your original article.
