Well, what can I say guys. I was very careful. It all checked out 100%. They had one left in stock. Nabbed it!

Definitely hadn't planned any more watch purchases in 2020!

Something will need to go to fund this, though. Expect to see a vintage Autavia or a Calibre 18 Telemeter on the sales forum in due course.

Glad the post helped. Congrats!

Another forum owner checking in. It was suppposed to arrive yesterday but after a tense period (only fair after what happened to Jim's!) wondering why the tracking hadn't updated since before the new year, it arrived today.

A few (terrible) pictures and some further thoughts for you down below - apologies for the bad pics - it's a grey day so light isn't good, plus the dial seems to be really hard to capture. It's so gorgeous in real life, but seems to reflect in too many different ways for the camera leading to parts of the dial getting overexposed.

The box...

First look...

Side by side with the Calibre 18 Telemeter. This is going to be very tough. Currently thinking I am going to try and keep both for as long as possible! They complement each other right? Two-register vs Three. Date vs No date. Plain vs Panda. Chalk and cheese 馃榾

On the wrist. I'd say it wears ever so slightly bigger than that Calibre 18. That's because the dial fills more of the watch (the Telemeter dial curves down at the edges) and because the case is a mm or two thicker. Have put it on the Telemeter's strap for now - I don't want to wear the original, and there should be a new strap arriving by the end of the week.

Thanks Aquagraph. Yes, we have quite a few Le Crueset mugs actually - one of each colour 馃榾

Will try and get some better pictures of the watch (including the reverse) soon. Want to get this new strap on it first.

Congratulations! @imagwai - I would keep both if possible. I really like the personality of the dial on the Calibre 18
Thanks. That's kind of what I wanted to hear 馃槈

Congratulations @imagwai 馃憤.
I would be very happy owning them both. The telemeter is a gem. And yes, the two register Panda is looking quite different.

Yes they are a great pair 馃憤馃憤 Double congratulations!

I can attest to that since both are my only 39mm Carrera 馃槈馃槈 Agree that the Carrera 160 Silver seems a bit bigger due to the dial blending in with the chapter ring and also the thickness of the case to house the H02 movememt but both wears very well indeed.

The Carrera Telemeter pays tribute to the Carrera 7753SNT while the Carrera 160 Silver to the Carrera 2447S 馃摉馃摉

Thanks all.

It's alright. But in all honesty, I've never been much of a fan of crocodile or alligator style straps. And I just think the Carrera deserves to be on a corfam or rally style strap, something that celebrates it's motorsport heritage.

Not my pic...

Congrats @imagwai !! 馃榾 馃憤 馃グ

And I totally agree with you: I think the perforated rally style strap is the best one for this Carrera, much better than the alligator -or other animals 馃榿- strap not related to motorsports 馃憤
