Yep, definitely belongs on a racing-style strap 馃榾

The alligator band is nice, but mis-matched. I find they work better on very reserved, dressy 3-handers but not sportier chronos.

That looks great, can you share where the strap is from? I too think the colored stitch is a nice touch.

In some lights it looks copper, but it's actually a bordeaux red! Always fun.

Thanks! It's a custom strap from Veblenist.

Looks good too, will check it out. I'm going to go dark blue corfam from GLC straps I think, in due course. They do a couple of different flavours, but can't work out which one I prefer yet.

I did have a blue rally strap from Watch Strap World arrive today, but despite being advertised as being compatible with my clasp, it doesn't fit properly.

Yes that Vallelunga blue looks really good for my 1153 Carrera. I think it will complement the grey/blue details wel. I think I like the flat version better than the puffy one, but still debating. 15 euro shipping is steep for an envelope.

Yes, that's the one I think I'm veering towards too. And yes, just checked out shipping - looks like 23 Euros to the UK!

I only would use a official TAG Heuer black strap (also with black stitching) perforated rally style for this silver Carrera 160th Anniversary... @Hubert and @Calibre11 put the Telemeter (FC6353) strap to their Carrera Fragment, so I guess this FC6353 is also compatible with the CBK221B, isn鈥檛 it?

Yes it is. Already been using my Telemeter strap on the CBK221B 160th.

Edit: Then again, I used the Telemeter clasp as well. I think the clasp is the same - will check.

I have one of those TH deployant clasps that came with the cv2114 but I can鈥檛 get used to it. Too damn chunky for me. Pin buckle for me

Clasp on the Telemeter is FC5049.
Clasp on the 160th is FC5042.

I think the only difference is that the Telemeter strap (FC6353) is a tad thicker so maybe the clasp is different to accomodate.

Ok, so it would be necessary to buy the FC6353 (around $100) and the FC5049 buckle (around $100) to have a silver 160th with black rally strap and 100% TAG Heuer 馃憤

Yes. Unless you fancy trying to force the thicker strap into the FC5042. I won't be trying that personally (no need) so attempt it at your own risk!

I would not attempt it either 馃槈. This watch deserves an additional $200 investment to have the proper set of TAG Heuer rally strap and buckle 馃グ 馃憤

Agree with you on the buckle. There are plenty of quality straps out there that would work with the watch, though. I do really like the TAG rally strap and may well end up with that, but given I have that already on the Telemeter would quite like to try a different colour (navy blue) with the 160th. Don't think TAG sell a blue version in 19mm do they?

Is the strap for the Skipper the same as FC6353 but with blue stitching?

I assume so.

As far as I can ascertain, clasp FC5049 is for a 3mm thick strap (like FC6353) and FC5042 for a 2mm thick strap (like FC6479).
