Not sure, but I'd like to think the former. This guy has a huge collection of cars and watches. Could be he's just going through a TAG Heuer phase at the moment. Also, he just doesn't seem to fit the profile of young Ambassadors that TH has sponsored recently.

During his appearance on Good Morning America, Oct 12, looks like he was also wearing a Carrera.

 

In Jacob Elordi's case, perhaps someone at TAG took notice of him wearing the Monaco at the Oscars and then decided to approach him to be an Ambassador. Same thing might happen with the Rock. Hard to know which came first, the chicken or the egg. But I do know in Dempsey's case he was already a fan before becoming an Ambassador.

 

I’m just happy seeing the Carrera Sport getting some attention.

 

The Rock is one if the few people who can make a 44m Carrera look perfectly sized for their wrist.

 

I love mine, but I am built the opposite of The Rock.

I’m more like The Pebble.

 

In all seriousness, I’m really happy with the way the Carrera Sport feels on the wrist.

 

Guess that makes me The Stone. I can't really consider anything below 41mm.

 

I consider 39mm to be my sweet spot. When I tried on the Sport it wasn't overly huge. Perhaps I could live with the size if I was head over heels in love with the looks.

But the Elegant felt more comfortable for my 6.7" wrist.

 

The 2017 Baywatch movie featured TAG Heuer. Although I don't believe the Rock or Zac Efron wore TAGs in the movie.

 

Frederic just posted these via his Instagram stories. This actually makes me think that the Rock isn't being paid by TAG to wear these watches. Because had he been sponsored, I don't think Frederic would've waited so long to post something. Plus some of the pics in Frederic's story posting aren't that recent. Seems more like Frederic/TAG just found out and did some digging.

Also, in the 4th pic, the Rock mentions he had a fake TAG Heuer back in '98. Looks like the Rock has been a long time fan of the brand.

I really think that Frederic just found out that the Rock has recently been wearing the TAG due to the timing & progression of his posts.

Don’t get me wrong but The Rock certainly has wider international appeal. Better than Lalaland Ryan And Dwayne Johnson has been known to sport alot of different watches over the course of his Carreer(a)

It would be nice to know the story behind The Rock’s love affair with TAG Heuer. Did we saw a pic of him wearing a TAG Heuer during his WWE heyday?
