Dodgy heuer 01

Hi

I went to get the links adjusted on my 2 day old heuer 01 skeleton. When it was given back to me, the 10o'clock hour marker had come off!
Luckily there was another in stock and in fairness to the staff they gave me a replacement straight away.
Question - is this common?
I also though the chrono was quite rough so I'm guessing it may have been a dud (and no, it wasn't just the normal "ticking" of the movement)

Strange but glad to say the replacement' movement is so much smoother - hopefully the dials stay attached!

Not common. Maybe this one was dropped. Glad they gave you a replacement.

So not common. but it does happen. even to other brand as well. after all its man made. i know my close friend that own 3 APs have 2 of them serviced because of falling screw. not saying that AP is bad. just saying this thing can happen.

The only problem i encountered before was the hour marker on the chrono subdial a bit off.

I used to have a limited edition SLR which I sold.
Once went to hard on a strap, ended up braking a screw inside the mechanism. Quickly fixed at the AD.

These are sensitive and fragile things, sometime we learn the hard way.

Speaking of other brands; a close friend of mine purchase a limited edition IWC pilot gold chronograph.
The crown fell off!

This is to tell you that sometime things are prone to fail.

Yeah the crown fall off thing is nasty hahaha

One of my other friend. still about AP, had the crown AND the chrono pusher fell off. now thats monumental. we suspect hard play but he said he always treat it carefully
