I picked up a 1153S on Ebay. Seems like a decent buy considering the original bracelets are selling for up to half of the sales price. But I have a question about the hands, Can you tell me if the hands look original to this dial? The lume seems to match. It glows briefly on both the dial and hands when exposed to bright light, but quickly fades.
The serial number is very hard to read, but looks like 282,XXX. Is this a first execution?
(E-2 on the reference table)

what about the hands on the sub-dials? they look wrong to me.

Certainly looks cool, especially when you get the GF rice bracelet onto it

here is a better shot
Was looking at EXIF at what macro lens you were using, then see 28mm Leica 😵‍💫

Looks amazing but never would have guessed that

LOL...yes an odd choice. Its the new Leica Q...it has a fixed 28mm lens with macro. Works pretty well for a 28mm 😀

Ah! I was imaging you sitting there with a 28mm wide angle lens on an M rangefinder trying to line it up but that makes more sense!

Watch looks good to me. It's not a first-execution 1153S (those had plain steel hands), but either second or third. You can see from the macro on the chrono hand that the orange has faded over time.

Don't think there is anything wrong with the sub-dial hands- they've peeled like the chrono hand- minute and hour hands are also OK.

Looks great- enjoy!

Thanks, I found a few reference images and you are correct!
I didn't realize there were two types of hands on the sub dials, I was expecting the later ones with point but these with the flat top are correct.

These images not nine, only used as a reference
