Ah they sent you the WhatsApp list, jolly good. Yes I agree, it's not a 'smart' watch is it, so having it in PVD is a bit odd. But then again that dial wouldn't look nearly as good in a steel case.
Spot on. It’s just meant to be a frivolous purchase, I guess. One that is ultra tempting nonetheless.

Yes, got that WhatsApp list sorted on the weekend. There’s a few in there which are rather appealing. Also jumped on the Breitling list too.

Are they linked in any way, or is this just the way dealers do it nowadays?

Is there a Breitling outlet in Bicester too??
I believe so. At least that’s what I appear to be signed up to. Never actually been there though.

You Brits have got it made don't you. I can only dream about having Swiss luxury watch outlets here!

They appear to be older discontinued models with reasonable discounts.

Still nice to see what turns up though. The Breitling I like is current model, so might be waiting a little while, depending on how popular it is.

No Superocean’s showing on there unfortunately. A few Transocean’s plus some Navitimer 8’s and Chronomats.

That’s the issue with this one. It’s styled as a daily, rather than something you’d keep for those nice occasions, yet there’s the inherent risk of not keeping it nice. Tough one really.

I think it probably depends what your daily life is like, I have a steel aquaracer (way211) that is my tool watch for when I'm doing manual stuff, and a couple of pvd aquaracers for when I'm just slobbing around, going out etc. If I didn't do building work, take cars apart and generally knock stuff around, pvd as a daily would be fine.

Yes I agree, it's not a 'smart' watch is it, so having it in PVD is a bit odd.

Depends what your 'smart' look is...I'm pretty sure I wore my Full Black Chrono to a job interview.

True enough. I am just going on peoples opinions above, without any idea whether that’s manual, desk based or somewhere in between.

For me personally, job is desk based, but doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t get knocked on desk, kettle, etc. 😉

Smart isn’t ultra smart these days tbh, so get away with anything I guess. Just got it in my head that any new smart style watch should be shiny and not brushed black.

Navitimer 8s already....? Wow, I wonder if they're just getting rid cos they have the wrong 'name' on them?

There are both Navitimer 8 and Aviator 8’s on there. I’ve got the name change right, I assume? They look the same anyway.

Aviator 8s too? I guess they could be photo shoot pieces, TAG do that sometimes. They had the cool black Carrera Calibre 16 in Bicester before it was available in the UK! Doesn't happen very often though...

Pvd on titanium is fairly tough, after ~5 years of fairly regular wear my full black aquaracer has slight polishing on some of the corners, but no scratches. I am careful with it, but it has been worn a LOT, been around the world a few times and not exactly babied. Conversely my first steel aquaracer has a chunk out the case where I walked into a door latch at work 😗

Know what you mean, a dress watch should be shiny.

I don't think it's the black really that stops it being smart, it's more the dial which is patently un-smart.
