Almost Titanium Aquaracer

I love the styling of the Aquaracer watches, but I am very sensitive to nickel, so stainless steel (316L included) is not an option. When I saw that there is a titanium option, I bought one. I like the dull matte titanium look look even better, but a week later I have a rash on my hand from where the crown rubs against it. The case is titanium, the bracelet is titanium, the crown is not (!!).

Why would Tag Heuer go 98% of the way with titanium and then put in a steel crown? Nickel allergy (sensitivity really, because nickel is a toxic metal) is fairly common, even though a lot of people don't realize what it is that gives them a rash or a scabby patch.

Perhaps you could talk to TAG Heuer customer service and explain your situation. They might be able to help by providing a crown in a different material (Ti or other) so you can wear the watch without getting a rash. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Maybe consider a WAJ2180 pvd titanium Aquaracer with a rubber crown?
