I understand that the black 21mm leather strap that comes with the Siffert is now available to order from TAG Heuer dealers- code FC8235. In Australia it costs A$155 for the strap alone and A$195 for the strap and buckle.

I ordered mine today. 馃榾
T TjaengSince we鈥檙e on the subject of tax, the 5600chf price tag appsrently included 7,7% Swiss sales tax as detailed to the two watches I had delivered to Z眉rich. If the watch gets exported that tax should have been possible to reclaim at port of exit, no? At least in theory.
I hate the profit-maximizing part of this hobby, too much has become about deal-making. I originally bought the Siffert as well, but for various reasons decided not to keep it, but I insisited on selling it to a fellow collector/enthusiasts for the same price. To me, it is a community piece.
And I commend you for that. The guys who flipped on eBay has a reputation for doing this, so when he ordered the watch I specifically asked him whether he planned to re-sell or could he assure me that it was for his own collection...I guess you can only take people at face value when he told me that it was for his collection.
Won't make that mistake again with that buyer.
My intention was never to flip it, but life sometimes happens. I am making sure this watch is going to a good home, for exactly what I paid for it.
Thanks again for creating such an amazing piece!

I admire your principled approach - to be honest though unless you really "know" who you are selling to then you're at risk of providing yet another flipper with something to flip.
