I expect there will be some movement/ give it a week or two and I reckon it will firm after that

So after jumping on the Heuer train last Xmas by buying a Montreal I've moved on to a mint TH1000 diver and now this stunning JS Autavia. Oh and that rowing chrono also came in today... What is happening to me?
Congrats on selling out in less than 24 hrs! That means you were doing something right! 😀
We have some work to do. 😡

It took a mere four hours and fifteen minutes for Omega to sell 2,012 limited-edition “#speedytuesday” watches last week that were offered exclusively on Instagram. The special-edition Speedmaster, the hero of the brand’s iconic collection, was geared to a group of devotees that follow the #speedytuesday hashtag, created by watch enthusiast Robert-Jan Broer of the Fratello Watches blog. The number of pieces produced is a tribute to the year 2012, when Broer started the #speedytuesday hashtag. The response was so immediate that Omega stopped promoting the watch on Instagram shortly after the campaign was launched. It was the first Omega watch officially sold online. The price was $6,500.
Importantly, note that Omega advertised and sold the Speedy Tuesday edition on their website. TAG Heuer didn't do the same.
it is not the same to make 2,000 watches of new design, that 100 almost identical to an existing model

And Omega still haven't finished delivering their watches, and their production has been mired with quality problems. No thanks!

It’s not confirmed that there are any undelivered Speedy Tuesday units at this point, and there were only a few isolated quality issues.
The Speedy Tuesday does incorporate some very different parts than a regular-production Speedmaster Pro - the brushed case alone is a whole other thing to deal with. Not to put the C11 LE down, but it’s just a dial / hands color difference compared with the existing Autavia lineup.

I don't want to hijack the thread but why isn't it confirmed? I had mine delivered after Christmas, after 5 emails of excuses and 6 months of delay, only to have defects to the dial and Omega had to take it back. It is now back to waiting again.
Again, the key point is that Omega advertised and sold the Speedy Tuesday Limited Edition directly from its website. TAG Heuer did not do the same.
Right, but all still re-mixes of off-the-shelf parts. No new parts, just paint. Again, not trying to put it down, but let's be honest with each other.
People say TAG make too many special editions, but Omega... man they take the biscuit. First Man on the Moon, Last Man on the Moon, Dark Side of the Moon, Grey Side of the Moon, White Side of the Moon, The Man in the Moon, Brown Side of the Moon, Apollo and Dionysus on the Moon, Shine on Harvey Moon... what a pity they came to party too late to make a Moonraker tie in!
Interesting fact, who was on the board of Omega when they decided to 'BUY' the James Bond watch sponsorship deal?
Jean Claude Biver.
Yes, I could have changed a lot more- ceramic bezel? Revised case finishing? All possible...but then we’d be looking at prices closer to the Ronnie Peterson Carrera re-edition, i.e. much closer to US$10k. How many people would buy a $10k Autavia?
