Imho the amount of Innovation of this and the last year is unbelieveable. It's s absolutely amazing what the workforce of TAG Heuer has created. Beginning with new inhouse movements, new interpretations of classics, new designs, the first watch brand to have a foot on the online-train, a real avantgarde movement (defy Lab, which for the sake of surviving of another great brand was given to them). And besides of all this there are the more discreet evolutions of the Link or the ladies watches. In top there are all those great partnerships, new and time-honoured.
So all in all I am very happy with all those fantastic developments and it never gets boring to witness the Evolution of TAG Heuer. 馃榾

Given all the popularity of the GMT models this year, I really hope this will be the next Autavia Chronograph "reissue"!
I agree! Here's a couple photoshop mock-ups I put together (with and without bezel dashes) just to get the imagination going. Borrowed a pic from the web.

Also, made the strap black and removed the stitching. (for me, TH's choice of high-contrast, thick stitching on the 2017 Autavia is a design choice that should only belong on cowboy belts)

I also chose a lighter blue to match the vintage GMTs better. I'd buy this GMT in a HEARTBEAT. Maybe less, if possible.

Can you do one with a black bezel with vintage numbers, like a black bay 58?

I hate the thick huge case of the Autavia but that GMT would be an automatic hard buy. Awesome. Instead we get garbage

Was it ceramic though? Car companies and watch companies love splitting hairs like that 馃槈

Correct, the F1 bezel is aluminium.

Lov'n the F1 Gulf. I'm definitely getting one of these.
I wonder what kind of material the strap is?

I asked yonsson at klocksnack.se and he replied "hard to say. some type of synthetic material I would guess."

The strap looks like some kind of foam rubber. Never seen a strap like that before, really interested to see what it looks & feels like in person.

Maybe the outer material is Alcantara?

It was hardly any coverage from anyone about this model, I guess a more official release will come later this year. Cant find it on the TH website either. I hope it will be available to experience when I go to Mini Basel fair in Stockholm in May 馃槤

I was reminded yesterday by a friend and it is worth repeating here that Basel is essentially a trade show and models can and will change based on dealer and press feedback before they reach the market in latter half of the year.

Absolutely. I believe in past years, we got to see minor revisions from time to time, in the final production models, when compared to the Baselworld prototypes. So to me the moral of the story, is that if we scream loud enough, there are chances they'll hear us! 馃榾
