Great news for Connected 46 owners:
I used the "Uninstall Wear OS app" trick and that forced the OS update on my GEN1 Connected!

Will try it on my Modular 45 tonight.

Ah! so it is not uninstall the update and then reinstall it? So i need to uninstall and then go for a system update via the "versions" menu?

A reddit user suggested that watch owners try tricking watches or forcing the update to start by doing the following:
  1. On your Wear OS watch, go into Play Store and find Wear OS app
  2. Uninstall Wear OS app
  3. Once done uninstalling, its Play Store page should say “Update”
  4. Tap “Update” to re-update the app
  5. Once that finishes, you may see a notification to further update to the new Wear OS 2.0

I didn't have to do all of this!
Good! Which means the update rollout is underway.

Keep in mind, I forced the update on my original (Gen1) Connected 46mm, which has reached "end of life" and therefore was not receiving any more updates.

Yes, I use it more than the Modular. Especially, since it has double the memory; the performance and UI responsiveness is far superior. Using the Modular can be frustrating, especially after a cold start. Plus I like the larger screen and the absence of the top "cap".

What I don't like is the poor color brightness, as the LCD display cannot match the realism offered by the AMOLED.

I like the Modular too and I use it regularly as well, but just not as much as the 46mm, which is more of a "beater".

In fact, I believe I was the 1st purchaser of both in the forum. I'm into tech and you could say I'm an "early adopter".

I plan to get the next gen Connected too whenever it comes out, as well as the Google Pixel Watch when it is released next year.

When money is not an issue then why not!

Nothing for my CM41 yet. Uninstall/re-install technique just gets me 1.6 again.

daily lol...

Same here. Nothing yet. Did the uninstall/re-install like four times now without any luck and that is on a CM45.
