Mystery solved...
Yes, but a mini mystery remains of how Nelson got the blue strap, as it wasn't sold that way. I'm guessing maybe he requested it and TAG Heuer obliged given his stature in Formula 1.

And none of the blue straps look that blue, except the one on the blue chronograph..

Is maybe the blue strap of the 370.513?

Maybe... I seem to remember mine being darker than that.

Watch fam wanted these to cost £300. It was NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

Even £600 was a ridiculous idea. Should they cost less, yes. Closer to £1000 maybe.

I don’t find the price too crazy. At £1000 I would definitely own one already. At £1500 I’m tempted, but not enough to drive an hour to an AD.

Hi, first post. Still wear my original F1daily and excited to get a new version. I have not seen anyone ask about possible release of more colors. I’m particularly interested in a model like the giant watch at the F1 racetracks and shown next to the F1 logo on the TH website: red bezel on a white dial. I may buy the McLaren red or wait, or another version. I seem to like a different one daily. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum! 👍
I was also surprised that a red bezel version like the F1 Clock wasn't one of the colorways shown at first release.

At Watches & Wonders, TAG Heuer CEO Antoine Pin did say the first 9 is just the start and more colors will be added later. But I believe he meant in coming years, not this year.

Probably agree with both Adrian Barkers & Bruce Williams videos on YouTube.

TH have created these with the hope of a modern MoonSwatch for the younger demographic, however the RRP of these isn’t going to bring those sales in.

Maybe the rise of Drive 2 Survive (young influencers who want the next hot product). Potentially, but they are not going to to stay with TH long term.

Agree the £600 price would’ve worked for Pokémon esq Watch Collectors. But TH are tying too hard to move up the branding & price bracket in the luxury segment. £1k RRP with potential 20% discount, I think might appeal.

Then you have the 40yr olds, with nostalgia, this is where the majority of the sales will probably happen, but that’s a small minority. Some will be F1 fans only = win, some will be WiS = fail, as they’d only want these with step discounts as they no the value.

I can't see how making a cheap watch would help TAG really, they aren't going to sell millions of them like they did in the 80s, plus can you imagine the damage selling a £600 watch would do to their brand in the 'luxury' sector? A £600 would undercut their 'entry level' models by 50% and would make those look way overpriced (which we know they are but still) and it would make the £2000 chronos look ridiculous.

LOL saying that a brand new TAG Heuer should cost 600 is just silly. These are not Chinese made Tissot watches 🤣

Yet that market share of the PRX is what Tag want from these F1s, ain’t gonna happen at that RRP

This 53 year old has 1 already and has 3 LE models in the works. I'm would have liked them to be around $2200 AUD but $2600 and $2800 is ok. The nostalgia angle has hit me in the Hip pocket..

If they sold them for £6000 they would have to sell 4-5 times as many (minimum) to make the same profit. Makes no sense, especially since most of these are limited to pretty small numbers.
