Awesome, number 33 has a special racing place in my heart if you know what I mean
My Panda's number is a combination of your favorite F1 driver's #33 and my favorite driver's #8 from his final year at McLaren. OK a bit of a stretch, but just having fun. 😀

Ha! I have a similar “stretch” with my 40th Monza. Nonetheless, it makes me happy seeing the number.

Evening Chaps!

First time post, first time Heuer!
I must admit I knew little of the history around the panda, when I saw the release I just couldn’t get over how beautiful it was so had to buy.
May be the lighting in my house but I’ve been enjoying the beautiful champagne tones on the dial.
Number 328 from UK

Interestingly there was one available at the TAG boutique in Bluewater on Sunday so I’m guessing there may be a few still in boutiques

Congratulations...what a great way to enter the Carrera World.

Congrats and welcome to another UK member!
I was first on the list for that one in Bluewater, but they didn't "give me the call" until the day after release, by which time I'd already bought one on the website.

The rally strap is leather and is just perfect for this watch. It would've been so awesome had they re-created the double grain BoR for this special watch and also included the rally strap as well. However, CEO Frederic has stated this will be the very last glassbox Carrera, hence no chance they'll make a bracelet now.

OTOH, Frederic did say a new 39mm Carrera will be joining the standard lineup later this year. Assuming it has 19mm width lugs, there's a chance its bracelet might work on our glassbox too. Although it's unlikely to be a vintage inspired design.
It's all hypothetical chat of course but I wondered how easy/difficult it would be to get the re-edition Autavia double BoR to fit. You'd need to find suitable endlinks of course or bastardise the Autavia ones while shaving what, 2mm off them too? Shame really. I can't say 'missed a trick' as I still think it's fantastic.

I was actually thinking about it from the opposite view. Wondering how hard it would be to get a vintage Gay Freres double grain BoR to fit on the 60th. I believe the vintage bracelet would be closer in size to the 19mm lug width. The harder part is finding suitable end links.

I believe the heritage Autavia re-edition has 21mm lugs, so the proportions of its bracelet would seem too wide for the 60th.

Yeah them re-editions are 21mm, that would look terrible even if one could get a decent fit

Very high praise from this reviewer, who proclaims not to be a fan of modern TAG Heuers. Can't quite make out the number, maybe 068 or 069?

I still think one of you guys should send an email to Uncle Seiko and ask them whether they might be motivated to produce just the solid endlinks (to be fitted on the 19mm Speedy FOIS BoR). Just saying...

Worth a shot, I'll send them a message and see what they say. But if they're willing, they'll probably need someone to loan them a watch to be able to create the correct fit. That might not be so easy, they're not getting mine!

There must be a lot of glassbox Carreras out there of all different dial combinations, so possibly worth suggesting it to them. They may even do a whole bracelet. They must be able to get hold of one of these watches from somewhere.

Do the Telemetre, Skipper & Blue Dreamer have the exact same case as the H02 variants?

Not sure about the Telemeter since it used another caliber. After that, I’d suppose that they’re all using the same H02-compatible case, no? 😕

Telemeter, Skipper & Blue Dreamer all used the Cal 18. Then from the Fragment on the H02 was adopted. I did a quick look up, Telemeter is about 13.5mm thick, so the case is slimmer than the H02 versions.

Correct. The Telemeter I had was slightly slimmer than the 160th. I'd be very surprised if the end links needed to be different though. But of course I can't test my theorem.

Correct. And of course, less noisy! 🤦

It's not just the shape of the lugs, but also where the springbar holes are placed inside. So I better specify the H02 Glassbox as the model we're looking to have end links for.

Was looking through some old threads and this is why @Hubert is the KING.
or he is a time traveler!!!!
😎

Or he is Hubert Arnault, Frederic's disreputable elder brother.
He wishes! 😉

Yep we can see that that post was from 3 years ago, and both of us were discussing someone's question about whether 2020 would be the year of a panda release. Consensus was we'd have to wait a bit longer!
Yeah, the prediction was right on track. Though the Dark Lord Monaco didn't materialize until after the 50th anniversary, but that other prediction was pretty close too. 😀

Not a lot! I remember when I got the Telemeter, I had to check with the seller whether it had always made that loud a noise!
