But surely hearing deteriorates with age? If anything Adam should hear it worse? What are your scientific qualifications again?

Very interesting, thank you very much. Do you think that the age difference is what makes you think that the noise is worse than Adam thinks? After all Adam is a young, rich super star in New York with no worries in life, picking up honeys with his Porsche. Maybe his science gets less sensitive due to this.
You've changed your tune. You were telling me I looked young and vital a couple of weeks ago.

No 334 reporting in from the UK 😁

You'll read my first impressions on Rob's blog in due course. Suffice to say I'm very happy this morning.
Congrats @imagwai!!! That arrived pretty fast. Enjoy it in good health and happy #tHEUERsday!

I didn't even notice the strap change at first glance, it's such a natural on that watch.

So that makes 3 members and counting. I'll start up the owners' list later in my day, as I believe several US members should be getting theirs quite soon.

Interesting article by SJX, with nice live pictures: https://watchesbysjx.com/2023/01/tag-heuer-carrera-chronograph-60th-anniversary.html

Sixty years on TAG Heuer is celebrating its signature chronograph with a faithful revival, the Carrera Chronograph “60th Anniversary”, the first in a series of commemorative models that will be launched over the year – but it will be the only vintage remake amongst the commemorative editions.
--

It states there will be more 60th anniversary models coming later. However, this one is the only vintage remake. Meaning for those who are still holding out hope for a Reverse Panda 2447NS later this year, it ain't gonna happen.

EDIT: Also, in their Instagram post, they have this very curious statement. Will this be the last time we see the glassbox in its current form?

@tagheuer debuts the very last vintage reissue Carrera in a 39 mm case with the "60th Anniversary" edition in stylish, retro “panda” livery. Read more on SJX Watches.

My local TH boutique also confirmed that there would be no additional glassbox reverse panda this year.

But also that the 39mm format would possibly somehow come back to integrate the permanent collection…

#394 Happy #tHEUERsday !!
Congrats @thingziliketoo! Woohoo! Another happy owner! 👍
I'm dying to see a side by side next to the 160th. Very curious if it's exactly the same silver dial or just very similar.

I heard something very similar, i.e., that this is the only heritage Heuer Carrera this year and that it could be the last heritage glassbox.

Same. But then Tag do sometimes come up with a surprise or two later in the year. They can do what they want really, they don't have to stick to the script. I kind of hope it is the last - makes sense they waited for so long to do a panda if it is.

For me, it is a homerun and a smashing success. I think it is crisp and clean just the way Mr. Heuer intended! I love the dial. TAG Heuer can produce the most beautiful and lively dials. Although I usually lean toward 41-44 mm pieces that have a sportier vibe (such as the Carrera Sport line), this piece is very special and I'm thrilled that it is finally here.

First impressions is that its a great release and rendition. It looks like its the same dial finish as the 160th (I'm at work now) but the slight difference in the indices and hands along with the black sub dials gives it a very sporty feel. I have worn the 160th as a dress watch and it feels perfect in that scenario. This could not pull it off. So both can have a place in my collection. Glad they released this one and I had the means to get it. Noise level of rotor is less as is the amount of freewheeling. Winds nice and smooth. I can't stop checking it out. I feel I am not going to get much done today...

This is the last glassbox yes. There is a new 39mm case coming though; whether or not there will be 'heritage' models in that case is unclear. Probably not this year though.

Posted this in LVMH Week thread, but it's worth posting here. This is indeed the last glassbox and probably the last vintage remake we'll see in quite some time. Frederic is very focused on the future, not the past.
